  1. hahahah this is the best thing i've read on PASR in a good long while. plake's an all around good guy though. i've never met someone else as generally stoked on all forms of skiing as he is.
  2. time to check what time the latest train leave for philly from KOP...
  3. so when's flatrock happening?
  4. uh, just call them? and blue mountain absolutely does check their facebook. they delete doug's inappropriate wall posts on a daily basis. i don't think they have hired a terrain park manager for the year yet, but i could be wrong. it was still up in the as of last i heard.
  5. i would suggest spelling crew properly. apparently no one up at blue knows the proper spelling. i get it that it's a take on motley crue, but they forgot the umlauts so it just looks ignorant. edit: i don't know how to insert umlauts into a PASR post. sorry.
  6. uhhh... steamboat had this about 5 years ago when i was out there. there's a bunch of amusement parks that do it too.
  7. KOP sucks. i nominate the Lehigh Valley Brewfest on october 16th. http://www.lvbrewfest.org/cwo/Home or the following weekend at the icehouse in bethlehem, stoketoberfast, with an afterparty at bethlehem brew works. stoketoberfest is like 4 or 5 ski/snowboard movies back to back.
  8. i just ordered my new park skis yesterday. k2 domain in a 179. stoked!
  9. i find it interesting that it was a few republicans who pushes this one.
  10. says the guy who's trying to get a free pass by posting trip reports on a message board
  11. i lived in north philly for four years; it's at least a tie haha
  12. the addict is a stiff true twin, so it's not going to be a great all mountain ski really. have you skied jeff's PEs? if you have, and liked those, you should look for a pair of last year's K2 extremes. I'd say buy this year's revival, cause they're awesome, but not for what you're going to be doing with it. aside from that, the dynastar 6th sense spin, which is 87 in the waist and super lively and fun in the bumps (or the Big if they still make it, which is 92 waist). edit: now that i think of it, i was in nestors over the weekend, and there's a few pairs of the dynastar big trouble's sitting around that will probably be going for cheap during ski mania in a few weeks. really fun, stable, all mountain ski that will carve up blue but still give you something wide enough for the epic PA pow days. kevin skied the gs course on razors switch on his a year or two ago, so they'll definitely hold an edge on hardpack.
  13. just picked up a pair of crowbars last week. most of my summer purchases have been bike or surf related.
  14. judging by the title, i'm going to assume my gear will be shipped regardless of the outcome of this sale?
  15. tp4, your credibility went down the hole with beamer benz or bentley, but you redeemed yourself with freeway. he just dropped a new album not too long ago. i'm too lazy to go dig up youtube videos, but sticking with the philly theme, here's a few current artists (all somewhat hip hop/rap oriented) that are from or have lived in philly that nobody mentioned thus far: santigold(was at the roots picnic last year and put on an awesome show, featured on a bonus track on jay-z's blueprint 3 album), diplo, spank rock, and jay electronica, who briefly lived in philly somewhat recently.
  16. what a goober
  17. standard. sounds exactly like utah and whistler, except when we werent skiing, he wore a bathrobe pretty much exclusively. both trips were awesome, for totally different reasons. as KT said, 4 days straight of what was probably the best snow of my life (i'll get around to editing footage one of these days for a mid-summer stoke starter) made utah pretty awesome. 4" of snow in may, followed by 3 mostly sunny days of riding the best park in north america and finally figuring out how to spin switch and landing my first 9, followed by rockstar + vodka and la fin du monde in the hot tub was also pretty on point. add in a few legit pow days at blue and in philly and it all comes out to be one of my best seasons to date.
  18. thats because whistler knows how to build jumps, and tmaki did not attend this glorious outing.
  19. kevin and mik are sitting on the couch talking about vienna sausage. open for interpretation...
  20. and i lose because i snapped my skis.
  21. i don't think this fine establishment supports vimeo embedding. i've never gotten it to work before, anyway.
  22. good luck. just use google, you'll eventually find it. i don't wanna post it here and get the fine staff in trouble for illegally hosting and distributing copyrighted material.
  23. i guess somebody didn't pay the extra $2 a month for a private DNS registration.
  24. i might be interested if it's early may.
