  1. i'll be nice, even though it wont matter in two days... flat down flat rail or flat box, then up flat rail or up flat box, then dropin mound at the turn for the jumpline. jumps seem to be about 20, 25-30, 35-40? people might tell you differently, but they're not big, and could use longer steeper landings. stepovers would be nice. the bus is also an option as opposed to the 3rd jump. then you've got the wallride, which is mostly worthless. then either long c box on the side of the hill, which looks like it could be fun but i havent hit it yet, or a jump that i was told measured out to 54 feet, but again, not really that big at all, with a landing inappropriately small for the size of the lip/jump. after you get rattled apart on the runout from that jump, there's an awkward hip that isnt quite vert enough or doesnt have a deep enough landing or something, can't figure it out but i'm afraid to come at it with any reasonable speed. thats if for sidewinder. come around i think still has the flat bar/flat box combo up top into rainbow rail into 20 foot jump or wide flatbard, 40ft double barrel or butter box wallride, battleship box, then barrel bonk/jump. lower park is tiny jump or flat box, tiny jump or short flat box or butter box, tiny jump or rainbow box, tiny jump or flat down box, tiny jump, then mailbox spine. enjoy and you're welcome.
  2. i'll be there at some point, not entirely sure when though.
  3. if the mountain itself was open til 2, i'd be interested. but for tubing? not a chance.
  4. kinda funny that the guy who built the most perfect jump PA has ever seen up at boulder used to work at blue...
  5. starters riverport in bethlehem probably has two of the biggest tv's in the valley. its right off 378, which is about 25 minutes from blue. its right off 22 though, so not really a pain to get to.
  6. weird. i wonder if thats part of the reason that boulders jumps are consistently about 1000 times better than blues?
  7. you got to the shop before i could chime in on this one, but the silencer was a ski that would have been at the top of my suggestion list. 299 for a solid all mountain ski that is very capable in the park is great way to get back into the ski scene. obviously the boots were based on your foot, but the boots are the most important part. if the boots arent a good fit, you're not going to have a good day on snow.
  8. those numbers were straight from the kids who built them today, so if they're wrong, give miller a twat waffle.
  9. exactly my thoughts. it would probably stay on top rated for weeks.
  10. i've been told they're gonna have some form of urban rail set up on boulder, either down bar, or dfd, and then a gap to down rail or box, so says kevin. i think two jumps? i don't remember what else he said, but it should be a good time. it looks like the rain should be out of the way by around lunchtime too.
  11. you should go up saturday doug. i'm sure your freestyling skills would be appreciated on boulder's painfully slow lifts.
  12. vault is obviously better. that's what the manchuk drinks
  13. yeah not that i know him personally or have ever ridden with him, but it kinda seems that he's not the most consistent when comp time comes, as is evidenced by his finals score being considerably lower than most everyone else.
  14. you're going yeah the three jump line was fun, but really, it seemed like most people were hitting the first and using the 2nd as a dropin point for the bottom hit, so whatever. see if they can set up the flat box to gap to down box like they had at may day; that was pretty fun. and also, a 10-15 foot gap to a 25 foot long downbox or something would get pretty interesting.
  15. so sean and sammy got the same score in prelims, but sammy moved on cause nike paid his way, or what? not to take anything away from him, he's a great skier, but what gives?
  16. do you really have any clue what you're talking about?
  17. if you can make it to our house i can take you. hopefully the rain holds off. it should be a good time. pops have you talked to jesse about features? last i heard was 30-35ft stepoverish jump up top with a 45-50ft true table for the big hit at the bottom?
  18. exactly, and he's done a reasonably good job of it too. boulder was in transworld and freeskier this year, thats not too shabby. and dan, you're still ignant.
  19. they really make you pay for BBQ sauce now? i could deal with paying for cheese whiz, since they had to take some effort and keep it warm, but BBQ sauce? really? i wonder when they'll start charging for ketchup and mayo.
  20. that explains why i havent really heard anything about this coming saturday... but on another note, good for him. he's obviously got more game than nipples does.
  21. mine don't match up at all. i've got a giant xtc1 but no corresponding carving ski in sight. my skinniest ski is 80mm at the waist, the k2 silencer, and i primarily use my seths (98mm) as my 'carving' ski as well as my all mountain/pow ski. fujatives have now been demoted to handrail duty, and the disorderly is my everyday/park ski.
  22. come in to nestors and talk to pete, peter jr, or adam, who are all there full time. they'll get you dialed.
