  1. dumb question. single barrel down rails should always be included. as long as there's not some awkward rail-half-burried-in-the-lip crap going on, that would be sick.
  2. punctured lungs arent that bad. you can be skiing in a week again.
  3. the vist bindings feel very much like the atomic bindings to me. same kind of 'feeling' i get, in that you're attached, but not really secure in the same sense i feel in my look/rossi bindings, or a salomon binding.
  4. just throwing this out there, for whatever its worth, atomic bindings scare me. i see about a 50/50 pass/fail rate on the huber binding check machine, and they feel to me like they are not really holding your boot 'in', moreso just holding it in place on top of your ski. i know that's not a technical description or anything at all, i just get the sense skiing them that other bindings feel much more solid and stable. i would also stay away from the $37 look bindings as well...
  5. so thursday for real this time?
  6. forward pressure doesnt have a number. its the tab on the heel that you lift up with a flathead to slide the heel forward or back. slide that forward til you can just barely get your boot into the binding. they'll be a little harder to get your boot in, and technically the forward pressure will be too high if you took them to a shop to get the bindings checked, but it should help out the slop in the binding. i always rode my salomons with the forward pressure through the roof and never really had release issues with them like everyone else seems to have.
  7. check out nestors ski mania sale in august. everything thats left over from this season goes for anywhere from 40 to 60 percent off. for just getting back on skis, like toast said, an all mountain twin like the PE, Troublemaker, or Silencer if you're looking for something a little less expensive are good calls. they're all very easy to ski, but can still rip all mountain around here, and the tails are turned up which makes skiing backwards in front of the little one that much easier. as for boots, try them on.
  8. DIN doesnt affect the toe height or wings. back off the toe height a bit. get a business card and slide it under your boot in the toe peice, where the white teflon pads are. tighten the toe height down until you can barely pull the business card out. then do the wings. also, i'd check your forward pressure. more than likely, its a little low if you are moving in the toe.
  9. will the stairs have lips on both sides of both rails?

    Butterlicious

they arent that soft. pretty similar flex to TMs
  11. gotcha. just dont want people bad mouthing you guys when you put in a ton of work to make the parks as good as you can. it seemed like the kid was trying to put the blame on park crew for stealing stuff, but thats a problem everywhere, at every ski area. blue's not the only place stuff gets stolen.
  12. tara reid has pepperoni nipples. ewwwww
  13. so its not very much of a park ski then, eh? what else did you ski from k2?
  14. and what exactly does that article have to do with park crew? stuff got stolen from blue before park crew existed.
  15. you the kid who was tryin 9's on the first hit last comp?
  16. i'm really curious about those as well, since i havent had a chance to try any of next year's stuff due to work cutting into my midweek ski time.
  17. you guys gonna fix up that jump line at all? it was all sorts of inconsistant over the weekend, i'm sure mostly due to the amount of traffic in the park. but that 4th hit had no kick to it at all on sunday.

    Binding ?'s

they're more than likely fine. no binding is perfect, there are always slight differences in the springs, lubricants, etc, which is reflected in one binding being set slightly different than the other. also, if you have used boots, bootsole wear can affect the binding's release as well.
  19. i hope they show blue's patrol testing out their avi beacons in the woods by the AT. or maybe they could show them skiing down the staircase on sidewinder and eating shit.
  20. jesse's hard on gear, and the marker bindings he had sucked.... the only markers i'd trust are the new jester, and its 12 DIN counterpart for next year, and even those i'm not entirely sold on yet. the biometric toe just sucks for park riding. no elastic travel.
  21. an P or PX from look, or Axial from rossi is fine. the kid's tiny, so he has no need for any of the FKS, P 12 Race, P15, or P18 bindings, but thats another story. like doug said, the mojo 15 is solid, the 11 not so much. look/rossi is the only binding i trust anymore. the 4frnt bindings are light and durable, but the release just doesnt feel as smooth as most of the others out. also, finding a shop that can mount them around here will be tough. i've always liked how salomons ski, but again, the heel just doesnt have the retention that a look/rossi does for nose butters/presses, etc. the new marker bindings ski really well, but i've never fallen when trying a pair to really get a feel for their release, although they seem very much like a look/rossi.
  22. i'll be there. thank god it might finally be an entire weekend of decent weather. might be my first time this season where i get 3 days in a row with good weather.
  23. PC, but they werent as strict with it as the locals said they were.
  24. dont get all bent out of shape with korey, he just likes to e-hate. he's a nice guy. the hip really should stay, just make it not a hip, but a mound, and a lot higher, so people like justin with ghetto skis can still get speed. plus, having it be taller would give you a better view of the jump line as well.
