  1. midewest superpark... and they are giving away surfboards? sunday river has the heat harvest, but yeah, i think there would be interest from skiers around here, but would there be interest from any of the ski areas?
  2. blue is having a railjam
  3. yeah its really a shame that they tried so hard to keep pond skimming organized and orderly. it was tons of fun last year with mass chaos and the jump over the pond, which made for even more chaos, but like shadows said, it was just kinda lame this year. the guys up top who were kinda running things just took it way too seriously and shot down all the fun stuff we wanted to do. doug looked pretty stunning in his tutu and i dont know how he didnt spill his beer. good thing i skied paradise switch so i could see that. oh, and zonked, sorry my skis spray a ton of snow when the snow is soft like it was today, no hard feelings haha
  4. i agree with jeff. the shots when it was sunny look really good color-wise, but the other stuff could have been brightened up a bit. oh, yeah, that dfd box is begging for a switchup.
  5. so what the hell happened at boulder? i thought they were rebuilding the parks? now they only have one? and how is speed an issue on a trail as steep as boulder?
  6. probably it was set up wrong and pretty much unhitable all year.
  7. do you realize how different the addicts and pipe cleaners are? if the ltd is the pipe cleaner (why they would change the name after one year of production, i dont know), its a hell of a lot softer than the addict. also, why get the pipe cleaner when you could spend less money and get the t hall, since they're more or less the same ski?
  8. do they realize that they'd still get a crowd on weekdays if they kept up with the opening at 3pm every day?
  9. maybe they were awesome because they weren't center mounted... some skis just dont ski well centered. i'm not super familiar with the ltd since i havent really skied it, read anything about it, or looked at specs for it, but as an example, my 4frnt MSPs skied better at recommended than at center mount.
  10. good deal for awesome skis. i just rode my new fujatives for the first time today and they were sick.
  11. sounds like boulder went down the shitter.
  12. hahahaha you just named pretty much all the worst features in the park.
  13. actually, about two weeks before closing last year, it was rather cold, and they blew snow every night for about a week straight and that last week had the best snow all season... it all comes down to profit. if the crowds keep coming, they stay open. cold weather and snow make people want to ski, so thats good for all us season pass holders who still wanna ski
  14. you drive a subaru. put it in 1st and plow snow the whole way up if you have to. see you there!
  15. so much for tom being superunknown...
  16. such a negative nancy. the last his in the park was pretty much perfect yesterday. and the new down flat down is sick too.
  17. high intensity yellow or high intensity persimmon oakley a frame, crowbar, or wisdom, whichever fits you the best.
  18. 1. i dont know where you rode at killy, but every time i've been there, there have been plenty of snowboarders. 2. again, i generally see plenty of women there, midweek or weekend. 3. i never took notice to this. 4. there are fireplaces. the lodge at the top of k1 has a fireplace in the center that you can sit around, but they always have the heat cranked in the lodges anyway. 5. charity's, caseys, and moguls are all you need. free food during happy hour. 6. bear mtn has really good food, and its not rediculously priced. 7. they warm up enough from having people packed inside, i never found it to be an issue. 8. straightline and tuck.
  19. we didnt have a rental car, and since we stayed at the base of canyons, the stuff in the PC area was most easily accessible. my parents skied dear valley and liked it a lot, but that place is a little pricy to ski groomers.
  20. if they could monitor wherever someone was on the mountain, they could see if that person was cutting into the trees, poaching a closed trail, skiing too 'fast' on paradise, etc. getting your pass pulled for stuff that no one actually saw you do? lame.
  21. i'd prefer if blue couldnt track my every movement on the mountain, thanks. and dan, as far as i've been told, those spots are closed cause of the powerline issues that cut power from half the mountain last weekend. i've seen ppl trucks up there a few times.
  22. registration ends at 5:30 i believe, and yeah you have to buy a ticket, but it should be discounted for the comp. registration starts at 4:30.
  23. so someone really needs to refresh their memory as to what batman looks like. i wore a freakin wetsuit, i did not look like batman.
