Well, maybe 2 or 3 inches. Challenge glade was soft and controllable, pretty busy too - most runs I had to share it with other skiers/riders. A couple of micro-tots pizza wedging their way down. I don't care, I still find it pushing my limit. Crash on elevator glade, birch 1, skier 0. Sledded out, but didn't see helicopter so hopefully it wasn't too bad. Anyone know if he was OK? JF's finest (as I know from experience), putting all their practice to work. If the pictures are tacky, I'll take them down, (but I would have liked pictures when I crashed).

About 20 f a little windy. C glade is real nice. Elevator is wind blown at top, and fluffy at the bottom. As is floyds, got going a little too fast on floyds and my ski popped of when I hit the soft stuff. The other slopes are real nice and soft.

After slogging thru 4" at home (near blue mtn) there is only about 1" at Frost. Roads are in good shape though.
-
Superbowl Sunday though. Some people have screwed up priorities and will stay home.

Quiet day before the (hopefully) big snowstorm. Trails were in good condition. I think they took out some of the double fall line at the top of Challenge (flattened the skiers left side a little). Challenge glades were nice - getting some nice slot type runs thru the bumps on the steeper parts). 31 degrees, no wind, cloudy, kind of flat light.

Sorry, I seem to be in a time warp.

Except for the two WMMR days, there are no crowds on Fridays, except later in the afternoon when school gets out, but even then there are no lift lines. May be a little more this weekend with President's day, but it should still be quiet.
-
Last weekend was when I was having problems with the headwalls.

Another ego trip app for iPhone users: Every Trip This was today's runs - I just didn't know what day it was when I labeled it. Also probably should have turned it off when I visited the rest room at the bottom of Exhibition.
-
Thanks for the video clip. And for non-JF skiers - it wasn't too early on a Sunday morning, 9 or 9:30 - we had the slopes to ourselves during the runs.
-
Is bottom to top better? Actually been skiing out to the trail around the headwalls the past couple of weeks. Put your sticker on my helmet. Thanks. Jfskidan coming down elevator.

6f at 8am. No wind, sunny. Slopes in good shape, a little slow from the cold. Should have put green wax on last night. Challenge glade has some fresh snow in it. Made it down top to bottom for the first time in a couple weeks- no ice in there.

Losing my kayak and ski companion of 20 years, sob, sob, sniff sniff

And what ever that reason is, that pisses me off. In any case, parking at Jack Frost tends to be a free for all after it gets crowded, and the front lots can get completely full. Although people do pay attention to the no parking saw horses and roped off areas, but little else in the way of common sense parking. -

Pic taken this morning - it was a private garage that had been pretty generous in the past, just too much rust now. Looking at a mini-van (our Sienna is getting pretty old) - need something for our golden retriever and all our gear. -
No, not my wife or even the truck dawg. The old Honda Civic didn't pass inspection for multiple problems (mostly rust). 200,000 miles, a lot of memories - from two children's seats to two rocket boxes. Saw it coming two years ago when I stepped on the bumper to tie down my kayak and the bumper fell off. Never left me stranded, amazingly low maintenance. What was nice when skiing with it was that if two SUVs pulled in next to each other and left room to open their doors, I could sneak in between and snag a great parking spot. Made a mistake a couple of weeks ago and brought my dually pickup skiing. Parked in the lower JF lots on early a Saturday, and then couldn't get out of the lots because of people parking in the intersections. Finally had to back out one of the entrances.

Left about 11 when it started misting. The hill on 115 south of the raceway was closed due to an accident. Brown coat boarders were tearing up elevator glade and elevator before their lessons started.
-
Death cookies if you hit the runoit of elevator too high. GS course set up for the race team on half of challenge.
-
Great conditions like yesterday. 31, cloudy and thinking about starting to rain. Got to get your skiing in this morning. Snow a little softer. Light pretty flat, iridium yellow goggles today (thanks steep and cheap). Wind starting to pick up from the south pushing you downhill.

A picture is worth a thousand words

Is the JF ski school going to give mogul lessons? Because, boy, I need them if I'm going to hit those. Nice that the slope isn't that steep. A nice starter set. -
Heard whistles from true chairlift thought wtf am I at blue? Just the redcoats doing sled practice on river shot. Getting a little busy now. Both emtn chairs going.
-
So is it ok to sing along with candy night if you have the slope all to yourself?
-
Should have brought my gs skis. These 165s aren't hitting Mach 1 going down floyds.

Jadip. 19, no wind not a cloud in the sky. Slopes smooth and fast. Purple wax fresh edges. Lodge and east mtn quiet except for some hot skiers.

Is there a jpeg of the sticker? We could make our own.
