And doing a damn fine job of it I might add. 😂

I saw they were salting razors edge on Friday to harden the slope. From what I can see, when the salt melts a pound of snow, it can lower the temperature of an adjacent 9.4 pounds of snow by 14°F. FWIW.

Amazing how many slopes they can cover when they don’t do the tubing area full blast.
-
You can blame me. First time I bought a brand new pair of current year skis since 1981.

Lest we forget what the webcam doesn’t show any more. Coming down past the pumphouse from Freefall, smelled a whiff of diesel exhaust. Hopefully getting ready for tonight. Must have been clear skies last night, because the slopes really firmed up for this morning. The low at home was only 37.

Hidden Valley? I skied there a couple times, very mellow and nice compared to Vernon Valley/Great Gorge.

Clearing up just as I’m leaving. 😞

Foggy top and bottom. Light mist. Smooth and soft slopes. Very quiet. Both six packs going, quad closed.

What is this generation coming to? Re-read your Tom Swift novels.

Met him a couple of times skiing weekdays at Frost. Think this is him. Will DM you some current web links. Creepy much? Scary what a web presence we leave

I think R2’s physical disabilities and lack of transportation caught up with him, and he is pretty involved in ham radio now. You can see the parking lot hang out location from some of GSS’s early morning photographs. Too far for me to walk. About all you can say about this morning’s skiing was that it was better than not skiing. Hope they haven’t stopped blowing for the season.

Wired. I use Bluetooth for a glove mounted music controller. Tunai button.

Yes, ski visions – not ski man. It’s a pretty good tool that I like a lot. I use the coarse stone as opposed to the medium one shown to put a spring structure on. I also have a similar ski visions tool that has a magnetized slot that holds a flat file that can take some material off the base edges as well as pretty aggressively take ptex off. Kind of a poor man’s stone grind.

Top half pretty foggy, but clearer a little further down. Thin cover, but in general all slopes had good snow. Fog seems to be thickening later in the morning. Some people going the wrong way.😀

Bit the bullet and took the Skiman base flattering tools to the new Head Kores to put an aggressive spring structure on. Found the factory base to be remarkably flat considering how wide they are. Followed up with various grades of Scotch Brite pads.

Upgraded the helmet speakers to Iasus Xsound wired speakers. Much better bass response than the Smith Helmet labeled Skull Candies I had.

Granddaughters getting season passes. Maybe even the one in Sacramento.

Conditions pretty good considering. All the slopes are pretty well smashed down. Just had the six pack going at the start, and then about a half hour later started up the quad. So we had two sets of nice clean slopes. Big brown spot on main street and nightmare Dreamweaver getting a little thin. Run of the day was freefall, if you didn’t mind paying the price on lower Paradise. Switchback and Nightmare tied for second. They were salting razors, getting it ready for a speed camp tomorrow.

Switchback and freefall were pretty good also. Razors wasn’t groomed and had a lot of skied off sections from the gates this weekend, I assume.

My vote is that with the whales sitting there for a week the grooming will turn out great on Challenge and SB. -
Put on a little bit of a show today. First time on a bump run in 5 years. But with new short wood core skis and soft baby bumps, I figured it was now or never.

Slackers.

Conditions were surprisingly good given the warmth and strong wind. Razors was closed, nightmare/dream Weaver, lost a lot of cover, but freefall was in pretty good shape, as well as the run out on paradise. Main Street was in pretty good shape at the start of the day, although it was getting cut up around 11. Lower Main Street remained very consistent. A lot of action on Barney’s Bumps.
