You better hang on. And don't get in his way. I think you will be spending more time on your SL after you try the GS.
-
You got it. There is no way they can make "snow". They could haul in shaved ice.
-
Wow that site is a lot of work to navigate. That's going to be a flop.
-
I'm with you on that. Atomics are way overpriced even on pro/race form. Help that boy out.

"so I've decided this will be my last post on here...ever..maybe I'll see some of you guys on the slopes...I'm just going to be a lurker like on Teton Gravity and Epicski...Good-Bye all...it's been real..."
-
That's good. I might actually try the place this winter. Glad to see it when people keep a ski area open. The sport needs it!
-
If JF had a high speed chair, people would be bored in a half hour instead of an hour. It would probably help their bar business though!
-
Vail is a great place but come on, Whistler/blackomb at #4. That place is the best resort in North America! Hands down!

A 2 buckle boot is going to fit like a little kids boot. Not a whole lot of support or performance on a boot like that. It might be real comfy though.

My point is that I don't see Papa as a party to any of the lawsuits so why make big deal out of his opinion. Ski acts like Papa and the NS have something to do with the problems Snomountain has encountered. He has nothing to do with it. But every other post Ski goes back to idea that Papa is going to make a call. I think if he was going to be against this sale and had any money riding on it he would be involved by now. I don't even know his last name but I'll bet it's not Washo.
-
OK your right. IF Papa asked kids to do that to me I would be pissed. That is a BIG IF because I have no idea if he did or not and whether anyone actually ever called you. My point is that you go overboard about it and the fact that he MIGHT call the county to try and affect the sale. Get over it. Are you not sick of responding to him. He can get you going in a second. Do really think he would care if Montage is sold? Remember..........Relaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ski, make sure you have your nitroglycerin tablets handy! Remember...............under the tongue.
-
Nastar? I hate night skiing. Too cold and you have all those bus kids to deal with.

Who?

We can't control the weather so why worry about it?

Line might have marketed the lateral heel release thing as a "possible knee saver" but it's bull. Ski bindings protect from the top of the tibia down and protect bone. They don't and can't protect soft tissue(ligaments, cartelidge, tendons).
-
Ski bindings don't protect your ACL no matter how high or low they are set.
-
Hey you guys are actually pretty good! Cool video.
-
Yes, thank you Heather! The season Pass thing just sounds a little backwards.

I agree with everything you are saying. It takes money to make improvements and I'm all for it. The only thing I question is why it costs $100 more to go directly to the lifts if you say that validating will take less than 2 minutes? What is the point of even offering that if it is a non-issue? It makes it look like you are sticking it to the people who want to go directly to the slopes.
-
When was the last time anyone checked your lift ticket at Frost or Boulder? They rarely look at tickets. They probably are making you go to the window so they know it is actually you using the ticket. Although you could get the ticket and give it to anyone. If they charge you an extra $100 to go direct to the slopes then that is an extra $100 they got out of you for not having to check your ticket. (Sounds like a good deal for them) With this system, I would buy a few season passes and every time I went I would get all my tickets and sell them in the lodge. Your season pass would end up being free from all the profits.

It's all technical mumbo jumbo intended to confuse you guys. Go for the new PB&J bases.

Possible injunction to hold up sale...
First Grade Teacher replied to Ski's topic in Montage Mountain
I could care less if the Pope buys it! Who cares who buys it. It's failing now and will probably be shut down soon if there isn't a change. Another prime example of a government agency that should not be involved in private enterprise. Governments have no idea what competition is. -

Maybe you got me wrong here. I think they are interested in running the ski area. Otherwise they would just take their $19 Million and build a water park. You could build a pretty nice water park for $19 million "up there" if that was all you were interested in. -

Why would Sno buy a ski area for $5 million that doesn't have a water park yet? They also agreed to invest $14 million more. Why wouldn't they just take the $19 million and build a water park in a better location?
