  1. Its a little late to post this but hey first kind of real snow of the season! So far this year we hit about 1/8 of an inch! Better than none!
  2. I saw the 10.. It was off the big jump. It looked sweet but I dont know about the 12. They said he did it but I think they just lost track of his spinning cause he barely got the 10. It was funny though cause the kid that threw it could not 3 the same jump. He only knew how to spin fast. lol I was getting some spins over that big jump at the end of the night which made me happy. I went from a 10ft table at Blue to a 60ft step down without riding for 5 days. lol.
  3. I personally love the jumps.. If you cant hit them thats your problem. Just cause you cant hit the jump doesnt mean other people cant. But yeah I think thats one thing we all agree on with Blue is better lips for rails. I give Boulder mad props on how the lips were for there rails. Maintanence wise.. Once we get some snow and its actually worth fixing then we will see how they do. I dont blame them for not fixing the landing on the jump cause its not like a 40ft gap where you are really gonna get messed up.. Come -around is no place for a park and we all know that.
  4. haha theres no waiver. Purchase of the lift ticket is the waiver.
  5. Well no shit I figured that there was a waiver? I basically meant if there was anyway I could get a couple. But they dont make it possible for us to get it online.. Pretty douche if you ask me.
  6. Im never gonna get a straight answer about the waiver...
  7. Haha Shadows Im 16. My birthday was on the 4th so I just turned 16. Most of my team is under 18 and I am giving them a ride so I need to know if I could get a print out one or just say my mom adopted them.
  8. Yo BB East Coast team challenge.. Anyone know if there is a waiver?
  9. http://wwwa.accuweather.com/forecast-15day...71&metric=0 Warning: Accuweather is not very reliable. <---lol But anyway if its accurate they can blow every night for the next 15 days with some 24/7 days. I believe there is one marginal night but thats about it. W()()T! The only bad thing is there are a couple days with showers or rain possible. Here is a little bit more reliable site (took from Shadows post in JFBB) http://www.erh.noaa.gov/forecast/MapClick....PA&site=PHI
  10. I got a couple buddies together for the open comp. Anybody know if there is gonna be a waiver? Also is the mountain gonna be open all day cause PapaSteeze said " Closed mountain for this comp.... what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "
  11. Haha Ramono.. It was huge while it lasted.
  12. I hit that shit almost every run. The biggest spin I got was a 5 but I threw rodeos over it and stuff. It really wasnt that big of a jump. I know so many people that hit it and when it was at max. Probably more skiiers but still many people have done it. The Po's were throwing down over that thing big time last year.
  13. They are talking near 70 degrees tomorrow. Thats pretty rediculous. But hey, hopefully these temps will go down to normal afterwards like they are calling. Looks like Im homeless for a couple of days.
  14. Salt will also destroy your equipment so make sure you wipe it off at the end of the day and especially at the end of the year.
  15. The bare spots are not that bad. At night they start showing on crowded days but they always fix it. They could also bring snow up from the bottom. They can make it but even if they do close it will be a fast recovery. Seriously you are all saying how bad Blue is when you haven't even seen it this year yet. No one has. And its not like Blue only has a park open like Bear did or Big Boulder. Blue has other trails to worry about then the other tiny mountains with no vert. I say we give you the park and see you do better. Youd build like a 20ft gap and be like, wow this is too much work let alone grooming 30 other trails instead of like 15. Honestly if you think you can do better go open a mountain. And yeah I loved the jump after the turn like Stevo said. I overshot that thing all the time. Nobody ever really said anything bad about Big Boulder. Its doing well and we all know that. Blue really isnt doing that bad. So they dont have a good park right now. Who the f*ck cares? Just dont go. Nobody wants to hear your whiny asses because you cant spin a jump bigger than 30ft. Jibs arent everything in the world and we all know you like to think that. The other mountains are to learn. Blue is to step it up. The little jumps get shity at Blue but the bigger ones dont cause barely anyone hits them. Same with the more difficult rails. And for all you Bear worshipers... That j rail was pretty circusy and it sucked balls.
  16. Check the weather forecast out. Rough weekend but after that temps are looking mostly great with some marginal days. Not saying it is totally correct but its still nice to pray!
  17. What was so wrong with Blue's park? Because you couldn't do shit off the booters and were only used to tables? I rode Bears park a numerous amount of time and it really wasnt anything tremendous. I blinked and my run was over. Seriously. Ill give it to Big Boulder for having a nice park. Although that shot of the invert was pretty gay cause it had less of a landing then the thing the call a table top at Blue. And Ive been doing rodeo 5s off the table at Blue and 720s. It may be small but a lot of us are having fun with the little amount of snow we can work with. If you really are not having that great of a time then just quit boarding. Cause Id rather be riding Blues park then not riding at all. The mountains are all gonna be nice this year. If you have a problem with any of the mountains then just dont go. We dont need to hear your bitching and moaning. Lets compare Bear or Big Boulder to Breckenridge say? Those parks are shot down easily. Not everyone rides park and Blue understands that so they dont put every ounce of effort into the park but they do what they can. Like 3 years ago there biggest feature was that little double barrel rainbow. They have stepped it up so much. Once we get the parks at full extent, then compare. All mountains are gonna be good. Its all opinions. I personally dont think the little cliff Bear built is gonna be that great but you don't see me posting 20 topics about that. Seriously just shut up.
  18. Geez, some of you guys should grow up to have part time jobs. A meteoroligist and a lawyer.
  19. Yeah that was me. And yeah I remember the white dominant. Its a sweet board. I just got a Burton Blunt but I cant test it out until Tuesday cause of a New Years Eve Party. Man, maybe its better that way though so if they get new snow I wont scratch it up on some random rocks. But yeah next time your up and you see me say hi. And I love square coping. Haha could you imagine a square coping s rail. That would be some sick shit! lol
  20. Most people don't go straight through the park anyway and they always hang around at the turns. It's better to hang around the turns then in a landing so I think all the curves might be saving some injuries. Bears park is really short, but it has some nice stuff but no reason to stop unless you fall. Blue is really gonna step it up this year. The jumps are not good jumps to learn things on and Bear's table tops are. So once you get that trick down over at Bear go to Blue for a real photo shoot near 15 ft up instead of 6ft up. Plus Blue focuses on all of the mountain. They have a really nice mountain for all ages and abilities. Its not like they sit there and only work on park. Bear only has the park going for it so thats what they focus on. So stop putting Blue down. This is a bad season so far but once they get everything open then compare but dont put eachother down. There will be goods and bads in both parks.
  21. Ok for one, the park has not a drop of snow on it, so how do you know how the c-box will be set up? Where it is at now the landing is a snow maker. So don't think thats exactly how its gonna be set up and just because its harder doesn't mean its not good. It just means you need to step it up. It said somewhere (I think the park crue myspace but I could be wrong) that the c-box was designed like a wall ride so I imagine it will be on more of a bank than usual. Proven designs are good cause you know they work but Blue deserves some credit for trying to be different than simple flat-down boxes or straight boxes. Its fine that you feel the way you do but I am just expressing my point of view. They are experimenting this year where the other mountains are using the same stuff, just more of it or a little bigger. And someone said early about the 70 footer. They had a 65 last year and it worked out nice. I personally loved it and I know a lot of people who did do it and it was one of those features that the noobs didn't go near so the lip and most of the landing stayed in good shape. It just seems to me that the people that are talking bad about Blue are just afraid of a challenge. I can guarantee if something doesn't work out they will take it out during the season or won't have it the following year. I don't see how anyone can say something about something that is not even set up yet.
  22. Park has a 6ft wide (I think) butter box. A decent table top not very big though. 2 flat normal straight boxes. First one is a gap, second one is a ride on. 6 pack will be open. Like grilledsteeze said you won't find good conditions anywhere but they are not as bad as the could be. Id say go, cause you'll most likely have a good time. Plus they are probably gonna blow snow tonight. Ill sure as hell be there tomorrow.
  23. My teachers are supposed to be going on strike. Im supposed to go back the second but we will see. A 2 week extra vacation for boarding sounds like a sweet deal to me. haha I go to Northern Lehigh if anyone was going to ask.
