Barneys line looked beautiful. The rest of main if you like VW bug sized sugar piles 🤣
-
Got home from an evening sesh at Blue The True. Sugar lumps sugar lumps everywhere. Main Street top to bottom was reminiscent of Superstar in May at Killington. Kids freaking everywhere but crowds werent so bad with all 3 lifts running. Razors and Freefall were closed for ski team as was Nightmare and Dreamweaver for what looks like another race course build. I'm not a big fan of night riding but it was still worth it. Now a few days rest before Killy!

No sir I have a parking pass included with my ultimate KSL pocono combo pass

Ps. I discovered a new trail at Camelback I had never seen before called "Scarab".
-
Just got back from an afternoon session at Camel. It was drizzling when I left my house but that turned to a wet snow going up the access road to the Camel. I opted to go up the tubing road and park right by the Stevenson, it felt a bit nostalgic. Snow was quite nice, surface was mostly a natural wet creamy layer and little ice for the most part even on the steeps. The park is still dismal with only a down rail and small jump. Cant complain with some suprise winter scenery laps at the Camel today. All in all JADIP in the Pocohoes.

Im leaving for Killington Sunday, riding Mon, Tues, Wed.

Awesome day. Arrived at 1pm left at 4:30pm. Snow was fast but still plenty edgable everywhere except Barbs Way. Crowds non existent. All in all JADIP at Blue The True.

1/20-1/21…weekend roll call thread.
DiMe replied to GrilledSteezeSandwich's topic in Blue Mountain
Been keeping an eye on Montage, Elk and Shawnee which all have been far more peaceful on the weekend and holidays. The multi passes def make a difference but Blue is still the best terrain option in NEPA imo. I love weekdays at Blue. I gotta be feeling extra itchy to even come out and deal with the weekends. -
It looks much like this. If you have to walk up to a kiosk to pay and have to go back to your car to leave a ticket in the windshield I'd be very upset.

Possibly I seen a booth and at least 2 employees guarding the gate to top lot premium so I assumed they were the troll collectors.
-
Gotta love how they make sure to staff to collect the fee but dont staff to direct and park custmers between the lines so this doesnt happen.

Oh dear god this is tragic someone help this man! I am undecided if I'll show up tomorrow morning but if I do I'll have Jägermeister shots.
-
I agree I'll take a nice slow big aired 360 styled out over 1800's anyday. I think most freestyle minded skiers and riders feel similar but still respect the crazy dedication and hard work it takes to achieve big comp glory today.

It's evolving. The male pros have become hard to watch. Competition went from style to regimented super strict olympic type training spinning to win to the point you can't even count the rotations on the tricks anymore. Air bag training and such has become almost a requirement. No longer can you be that grungy park rat from New Jersey or Rutland and climb the ranks like days of old. New things have come to fruition like Natural Selections and such we can't really relate to on the East Coast. Female XGames and Olympics have become the ones to watch because you can still tell what tricks they're doing. Rail Jams and that type of park and or events seem to have grown in popularity over the halfpipe and slopestyle days past. Times have also changed where far more kids play on their phones and PCs than play outside. It seems to be making a bit of a come back though. Big Snow is a big boost to this region for the park scene. It will be interesting to see which direction it goes, going forward.

They were in Central Park last year I believe for like a week or two towards the end of the season. Fun fact Central Park originally got it's name because it was supposed to be an all urban design with the stairset and such but they ended up making a jump line of it as some point. Who knows what 2024 will bring in it tomorrow!
