  1. Yes all the way until the weather forced the guns off. 3 more nights of that and it'll open this weekend. They were also hammering all of Lazy until the last second.
  2. Main and Nile Mile were suprisingly good after it softened a little. The only rocky area still is lower paradise. Its widened but still some pebbles mixed in the snow.
  3. Just got back from a short morning session at Blue The True. Arrived in the lower lot at 9:15 and headed over to the Comet. First run I opted for the longest run available tut, connector, vista to burma. Rock solid groomers fast and still edgable but a little sketchy. Things started softening up around 10:30 when the guns were getting shut down. Looks like they're focusing most their efforts on reconditioning whats open and getting Lazy Mile back open as well as add Upper Main to the mix. I would be shocked if Upper Man didn't join the lineup this weekend. Upper paradise needs more work and Razors has not made much progress. Tonights the worth snowmaking night of the week followed by the two best tomorrow and Friday. Id expect in the least the return of Lazy Mile, Paradise and an additional Upper Main come Saturday. All in all JADIP now time for sleeps.
  4. @saltyantThis weekend may be just the time to take advantage of the super duper VIP exclusive Blue/Camel ultimate combo seasons pass. We can get a full hour of First tracks deep Pocono perder while the regular ticket peasants just have ti watch and drool from the base area.

As of now snowmaking should happen every night this week with Wednesday being a little marginal and Thursday and Friday being ideal with wet bulb going into the teens.
  8. You are correct! Maybe you will notice the similarities I see as to why I dub a Nile Mile also at Blue.
  9. Some friendly snowboarder kids gave me a fresh alcoholic Monster drink on the lift. I didnt know those existed it tasted exactly like monster but no caffine plus alcohol. I threw it in the garbage can, didnt even bounce on the rim, straight in!
  10. Will you be at the Camel at all mid week this week? I believe I will check it out for some laps since Blue The True announced the terrain park will be closed January 2-5 for snowmaking and a refresh. Lets do some laps!
  11. That man lies, there is an even larger snowmaking pond behind the tubing hill. Also a pump station at the creek accessed from behind the residential ski condos right around the sharp bend before the parking lit.
  12. Douchebag kids were throwing snowballs from.the sixpack at kids on the school hill lift loading areas.
  13. Got to Blue at 11:30 and rode till 3ish. More crowded today than yesterday and similar snow conditions. Aside from getting snaked approaching festures by entire families I had a blast! As always Blue The True JADIP. VID_176981010_160733_935.mp4
  14. That went over my head. I forget or dont know who Danny Mac is.
  15. I would have to say yes it still is. Simply because it's a short drive to get some turns in as often as possible. I can not deny I would prefer to be riding pretty much anything in the Catskills on any given day over Blue but that's an additions 2.25hrs behind the wheel one way in the least. As has been said we're dealing with the sugar because it's just what ya get when it gets cold enough at night but not cold enough for the guns to condition the surface. Blue is just in the worst snowmaking location compared to JFBB, Elk and Camelback. For example with it being colder up this way Camelback actually had the guns on Nile Mile last night. The sugar will be gone as soon as Blue can light up again! Happy New Year! Let 2024 bring on winter for all of us!
  16. I was a partial park rat back then. Between year round big snow park laps and my dedication now I am actually better in the park now at my older age than when I was younger. Not that I'm anything special, I try. @antman12 you ride park? Who else rides park? I remember back in the day PASR had a mad steezy skier park group consisting of @toast21602, @Justo8484, KT and others. Whats the story these days?
  17. Aint no sugarcoating... well actually a shitload of sugar coating the mountain. However may I suggest adapting park skiing. Stoke levels go through the roof stomping a trick to bolts regardless of snow quality or conditions, every single time!
  18. Can't skeezers do jump turns through the sugar lumps? It's like moguls but with a fucked up rythm, you might need some special tunes.
  19. Sugar snow better than fast grass and a closed resort. We need to bring some stoke back into this forum geeezzzz.
  20. Just make sure you dont need a second at the top before dropping or they'll leave you in the dust! 🤣 Im kidding I love ya'll.
  21. Today reminded me of late season New England with the lovely sugar lumps all over. Ill take it for what it is all in all JADIP and winter is returning!
  22. Just got back from a short afternoon session at Blue. I was suprised how well they are making through. Big sugar humps on the Nile Mile and Main Street, leg burning but fun. The park is holding up well and I think they got this. Rumor from talking to some employees is they are all scheduled through the upcoming mid week and I assume school groups are starting. Looks like they can make it through by the skinnof their teeth with the guns firing up Monday night and onward most nights.
  23. I had grease on the back of my jacket yesterday, I was pissed off scrubbing it off at home! This explains it.
