  1. I notice this as well. It's almost as if they contracted with one manufacturer for their equipment. Even the big pile of ground guns stashed near the sunbowl had the new heads. When I made snow for Camelback in the early 2000s we had a ridiculous multitude of different types of guns.
  2. I'm assuming going by how confident they were to reopen April 2nd and how solid the coverage was on what was open they follow a strict snowmaking schedule. They probably start the season with what was open at the end insuring a base to have both sides and a crossover available in the end. It appeared intentional to have a solid base on what was open for their end of season plans. I have to say it was really nice to have 2 full park builds and as much open as it was. I was pretty disapointed to not have access to the top of Come Around or any park the entire final week @ Blue until the weekend. I know that isn't the norm when Nightmare/Dreamweaver is able to be opened and this season just was what it was.
  3. I also feel like the new bubble although a luxury comfortable ride to the top creates a worse bottleneck than the Sullivan as the chair seem to go around the terminals almost twice as slow.
  4. Ya I dont know what the trend has been the past several years. The snowmaking windows have the potential to be dramatically different between the two hills because of the location and elevation as can be natty snow days. My preference any given day is Blue, it just still has that good vibe and significantly more fun terrain to lap. I just really hope KSL doesn't fuck it up.
  5. I hate the corporate side of Camelback and what it has become as a former employee. But just hating it to hate is just cutting your nose to spite your face on some potential extra local days 🤣. It lost it's mountain vibe for the corporate resort feel but snow is snow when/where it's available.
  6. Awesome. For the price and the price of day tickets + parking these days I think it's a good value as an addition. Plenty of reasons to utilize the option the 3 or 4 times and get more than the ticket value.
  7. I bet the wallets name was Willham and he came just to show the blonde his really big tricks 🤣 Awesome report. I had to google what a sherpa was. 🤔
  8. Aww man, if I was alone and took off in a hurry that must of been when I broke off from my group being slow waiting around to get in some hot laps by myself in the softened snow. Would have been a perfect time for some runs. Next time!
  9. Not according to our fearless leader on April fools day!!
  10. Are you suggesting I might use this unique situation to exploit the skiing stat leaderboard? 🤔 🤣
  11. I had such a good time I called Blue today to add the $263 CBK addition to my Blue Pass. I figure it gives me more terrain park terrain to train on, weekend First tracks for any powder days and the potential for earlier and or later season days. I only have to use it 3 or 4 times to get the value out of it and CBK is 18 minutes away. Blue The True will forver be my new PA home base now though.
  12. Awesome way to close out the PA season. I was there open to close. Solid ice groomers until around noon when everything but Rocket softened up to spring corn. Coverage was suprisingly good, rock skis/boards not required today!
  13. Lots 7 wouldd probably be the safest bet for tailgating. Its far enough away but not to inconvenient. Straight up the paved hill to guest services.
  14. This is not acceptable! Late night plans calls for a late mountain arrival time. ☺️
  15. Lapping an empty Cannonball was a blast.
  16. I meant to say no snow path from Iron Horse trails connecting to Cannonballs w/o going uphill.
  17. Wrapping up a nice afternoon riding the flobee lift back to the lot visiting The Taj for the first time today. I was saddened to find the top to bottom lift was not open nor was there a full snow path to get from the top of Flobee to the Iron Horse lift to make the experience feel like a larger mountain. They had made some snow last night and the first chair I found was the Iron Horse which let me to a park vacant of features and a few hard cord groomers. Not a big fan of the boomer groomers I went in search of the steeps which oddly on this mountain are at the bottom section 😳. The only trail open was Cannonballs which I lapped about 16 or 17 times. The snow on Cannonballs was a mix of chunky hard to spring corn depending if it was in the shade or hit by the sun. To me Cannonballs was worth the $40 price of admission. Looks like they will have more open tomorrow. Next up Camelback Sunday. No people anywhere till after 5. All in all a great late spring day at The Taj!
  18. Feels good, feels good. 😇👍
  19. I already purchased it last night. Just got here. I really appreciate the offer though!
  20. Anyone going? I'll be there!
  21. I think I'm gonna go tomorrow afternoon. Anyone else? I'll be at Camelwack Sunday too.
  22. Wait @saltyantwas at Blue today?! What is his explanation for forum absence!!
  23. Just got home from Blue The True! Only ran into BenM on the slopes as I didnt arrived until after 1 this afternoon. Lots of parking lot shenanigans by the DJ in the corner by the 6 pack. Snow was better than expected given their weather leading up. Caught one of the last chairs up the quad to smoke a jay while making slow deliberate turns down the Nile Mile to close out Blues season. Sad it has come to an end at Blue for now. Maybe Camelwack next weekend? 🤔

I checked before sundown. Looks like they're stockpiling for the pond skim and probably a small rail jam setup.
  25. It appears to me as if @saltyant has quit PASR after being yelled at for trolling to much. 😞
