  1. The backcountry in Big Pocono State Park is known for it's amazing natural trannys.
  2. Snowmaking forecast still looks good. Keep the faith.
  3. Camelback, I'm 25 taking one class in New York all I had to show was a print out receipt that I registered for the class fall semester and I saved $250 on my unlimited pass.
  4. Sounds like a plan hopefully security wont be annoying this year. They always seem to be pains in the asses early season then after a week or two they stop careing. They probably get their season briefing in the morning so they feel they have to enforce things or they'll get in trouble and then it doesnt matter anymore. PASR day should be Sunday, it seems im not the only one who can't make it early Saturday so it fits. Maybe even hit up San Sushi and or Barley afterwards.
  5. I give em an 85% chance snow at home snowmaking forecast is still looking good from wed on.
  6. Don't be a stoke stomper Dougie they will pull through and get it open for us only takes a few nights. I just hope the arch on my right foot feels better by the weekend all this walking around my building and the city is hurting my feets!
  7. Will be nice to finally meet a fellow PASR knuckle dragger !
  8. Sounds good, like I said earlier post I can't make it early on Saturday because of class. PASR day at Camel on Sunday would be perfect
  9. Posted on Facebook 3 hours ago There's no way that with Boulder opening today they aren't going to do everything in their power to get open this weekend.
  10. I am but I cant make it out until 3pm class in the morning. Ill be there for first trax Sunday morning though also.

    Snowboards.

The DH is a great all mountain board I had one a few seasons back but def on the stiffer side. A perfect in between board which I come to love and ride now is the Rome graft. Its nice and soft for jibs but not to soft to comfortably handle the entire mountain in all conditions. I never tried a WWW but from what I hear t's definately more of a park board but also fun on the mountain similar to a Rome Artifact definately on the softer side. I highly recommend a graft.
  12. Woohooo wish I could make it out there. Maybe if I get home by 6ish ill fly up there with some canned goods for an hour.
  13. freedom to blow me?
  14. I learned how to snowboard at Shawnee even had a pass one year in junior high school! Would be nice to pay a visit again some day.

    blue blows

Lol a little rain Mon-Tues will absoltely not kill the amount of snow the resorts could potentially put out sat and sun. They want wet snow and ice to build base anyways expect to see Boulder and Camelback open next weekend with more than one top to bottom run so long as temps stay true from Wed on..

    They're Blowing

Awesome, hey how crazy do the lift lines get at Elk during the Christmas weekends in comparison to a place like Blue or Camelback. Are waits insane or fairly bearable?
  17. I r jealous. Nice pics
  18. No technically your compressing air. You know the air and water are in separate pipe lines right? Some guns have their own compressors built in though and your only connecting the water, mostly fan guns. Of course they do in PA, snomax just aids in the nucleation process increasing productivity at marginal temps. It just makes the process a bit more efficient. I'd be very surprised if western resorts don't ever use snowmax or similar type products especially during early season snow making. Of course it's just a waste of money to use said products at very low temps.
  19. Good then you know exacly what im trying to say
  20. I wasn't being to serious mostly joshing but when I used to be on a snow making team we would always reply to friends that "we don't blow shit, we make snow". I just think saying blow snow sounds silly when talking about snow making. Typically I blow snow out of my driveway and walkways using a snow blower.
  21. Of course but that's irrelevant. The snow makers, make snow. The snow guns make snow through a process of nucleation using a mixture of compressed air and pressurized water usually through special nozzles that aid in said nucleation process. They're not just "blowing" snow out of a container or using air to blow water out of a pipe that magically turns into snow. That pumps create the water pressure not the air. It's a process in which snow is created or made not blown.
  22. I'm guessing maybe a little this week to train the new snow makers definitely the next at least a few days. I anticipate Camelback opening on the 10th. Why do people say blow snow? Snowblowers are typically used to remove snow from pavement. Ski resorts make snow, it really pisses off snow makers when you ask them when they will blow snow
  23. No problems, the double post just made you look bad on top of being barely known in this community. Happy Thanksgiving, Best of luck!
