Shocking News: Sully/Stevensen shut down all day Sunday 1/24...
DiMe replied to setagehtta's topic in Camelback
Dude just stop going to CB when the weather is forecaster for high winds or rain if this bothers you so much lol. You post these like its a surprise, you already know before you leave your house in the morning to go to CBK that you will be posting one of these when you get home, why bother? If you feel the service is bad, don't give them your money. -
Down boxes, Flat boxes, Wide Boxes, Butter Pads?
-
Agreed, I'd like another progressive jump line on turkey trot again this season and move the jibs up there's plenty of room
-
Looks so sick! Living the dream for sure
-
What's with that jump on skiers right of cliffhanger that was built and fenced off and all the fresh feces laying on the side of the trail? Is it getting set up for some kind of event? It looks like fun!

Surprisingly nice sugary conditions at the Camel tonight w/ some man made poe in places. I'm feeling better now, at least after this rain storm we know every resorts is going to be making snow full blast again.
-
8 runs in an hour? Your a slow skier
-
Yeah but with 40 degree weather foretasted until Tuesday and almost 2 inches of heavy rain this weekend may make it a reality for a short time until they make more snow. Not really a big deal this weather just gets me nervous thinking about another season ending even though that's still a long way off. It may be a good thing though, the resorts are going to hit it with snowmaking hard once temps come back & then again prepping for presidents week.

Yes this is why we don't want Spring in January UGGGHHH

Is he in the Hospital now?

http://cgi.ebay.com/CANWAX-Slide-Ski-Snowboard-Wax-200-gram-bar_W0QQitemZ230425715446QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSnowboarding?hash=item35a67162f6 I've been using these 200gram blocks they're super cheap. I used blue last year which I purchased by mistake not reading what each color was for and it worked great all season and even in the Spring. Any wax is better than no wax but this year I bought a couple bars of gold and it's been working great I plan to try the red in spring and see if it's a noticeable difference.

Sick! Cant wait to see pics and vids.

Have we rode together before? Are you a CBK passholder? There's not enough of us on here.

I think we need RD2D in this thread for his opinions. Today was perfect at CBK and I'm guessing the same at Blue. It was a little cooler so all that heavy wet spring snow turned into tons of SUGAR now that it dried out . It is still a little choppy but much lighter and way easier to rip through, perfect spring like snow IMO.

I don't know if your referring to me or not I'm definitely not a great park rider but I'm capable and I can ride through the park respectfully staying out of other peoples way. I don't really think my park related comments are negative just suggestions for improvement for everyone. Exactly, by no means am I saying to not use the Glenn lift for the park. I just want the option to be able to get into the park as a top to bottom run which seems to be what they're doing now. As long as they check park passes at the top it should make no difference in people who shouldn't be in the park entering the park. I guess ask and you shall receive. Upper Moores was rebuilt last night & they're checking passes at the top, good job CBK.

I dunno I think thick spring conditions are much different on a snowboard than a ski I'd imagine skis cut through it much easier because of the narrowness and the way skies are ridden. I enjoy all weather conditions for what they are but heavy wet spring snow can be so choppy on a board it's ridiculous. The crazy chatter with every carve just wears you out faster. I've never skied in my life though so I have no idea what skiing in spring snow is like. Spring snow = Stay in the trees or stay in the park and work on harder tricks because falling on spring snow is so forgiving. I'd definitely prefer winter weather nice carve able hard pack any day over spring snow but as long as the resorts are open and there's snow to shred I'm happy.

I think we need one of these threads it's been awhile. 1. Update cbkactionsports.com the park report hasn't been updated since 12/28/09 WTF? 2. Rebuild Upper/Lower Moores & Turkey trot. The seasons passing the halfway point and we haven't seen a rebuild yet...... Feels like things are starting to slack in this department already, don't drop the ball on a good thing. 3. For the love of god keep letting people into the park via Caesars/Marc and just check the passes at the top like it was today. It's so annoying having to get on the glenn lift to take a run through the park just check passes at the top. 4. The video link on the website goes to the common-grind website which is not the same up to date video page on cbkactionsports.com 5. Do something to the progression park, 2 flat boxes burried even with the snow it's pointless. Preferably move it back onto Laurel Glade & make a real progression park. Plant some trees where it currently is and turn it into a small glade run for the future. 6. Why the hell are John Bailey & Sullivan's trail rated as black diamonds? They were & still are greens. I could understand maybe if you bumped the hell out of them or something but they're flatter than flat just because you can't get to them unless you take a black they're still not black diamonds, just an obvious marketing scheme that pisses people off. 7. Pay your dedicated full time year round staff a living wage I mean really, how do the big shots sleep at night?

It looks like they're finally letting people into the park via Caesar/Marc now that the pipe is open. They had the fence down today and instead stretched it across the entrance to the pipe and parks with park crew checking passes at the fence opening. I hope it stays this way, having to go to the Glenn lift to take a run through the park was really starting to get on my nerves.
-
Alright that looks legit now. I think the pic Ross used was like 3 years old when there was a 1/4 pipe at the end bad marketing tsk tsk

It looks like the Catskills are going to get the best of this storm. It probably wont give us much more than some slush in the morning Hunter is calling for 5-10"

I'd go to shawnee midweek for a PASR day.
