I agree, although I havnt rode their park this year. I heard they used plexi glass for a top sheet on everything, does it slide well?
-
Who cares, its more of a backyard than a mountain anyways.

Thanks for the reply! I plan on riding mostly park so I doubt the race or the speed demon kids will bother me.

Saturday Crowds? Havn't been to BB in awhile.
DiMe replied to DiMe's topic in Jack Frost & Big Boulder
I would love to but since Sat is the only day I can get my truck inspected that expires March 1st so I wont be able to head out of Stroudsburg until at least noon. -
Trying to deicide between the two which to go to. I've never been to SNO and havn't been to BB since Dec.
-
How typically are the Saturday crowds? How long are the lifts lines, are the parks usually ridiculasly packed? Is it busier in the day or at night? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Its bumped up and snow will be made on it tonight for some more shaping and touching up. I walked down the trail today, they're pretty huge bumps.

CB is definatly putting forth an effort to improving our terrain parks. I do agree the Rhodo is a bit wacked but it will definatly improve, all feedback is being considered and changes are being made. One major complaint about CB's parks was the gap between our learning park and the rhodo. The glade has all ride on boxes which won't prepare anyone for the large gap on rails in the rhodo and no rails to prepare people for hitting a rail even though the rails in rhodo are quite wide. The feedback was taken and the features we set up on the lower moores ramble park are all small gap ons, a medium size tabletop in comparison to rhodo and laurel glade and the battleship rail. Yes its a very small park with only 5 features but it's apparent CB is trying. With it being so late in the season with the limited amount of features had to set up I think it's by far better than last season with signs of things improving more and more seasons to come. The park pass program is working great even though they're free and available to anyone. The Rhodo almost never has any riders in it that can't handle the features and the few times that you see riders in there that can't go through it once after first getting their park pass and don't return.

I have to bump this because today we lit up the new Oak Grove halfpipe, it should be opened at the latest by next weekend and the Rhodo is comming very shortly after :rock :rock :rock

Where is Papasteeze on this thread complaining about how JFBB hasn't been making snow at every possible opportunity because unless a mountain is 100% open with every park, trail and feature there is no excuse for this!!?

Clan member or jib the staircase? lol

I believe its for all camelback seasons pass holders. I forget the exact discount but its pretty signifigant for lift tickets and their base area lodging.

Jay Peak is an amazing mountain well worth the trip although I would hold out until more terrain is open VT is struggeling with this weather just like us.
-
I can almost guarentee that marjis wont be open this sunday being that this weekend we will loose temps during the day most likly due to the rain/humidty possibly next weekend though.
-
We will be starting on the stevenson side next week and we're making a run at marjis starting tonight.
-
I'm not sure our exact order on trails, this is my first season making snow. I do know that if temps hold for 24/7 snow making we can have the whole mountain ready to go in 2-3 weeks.
-
We made snow all day today non stop!!!! Things are looking much better. The reason why we only make on 5 trails at a time is because air compressors and water pumps only can put out so much to the mountain and the amount of guns it takes to light 5 trails is pretty much the capacity but it depends on the gun count and size of the trails.

How did the jam go?
-
Awesome video great filming. Nothing off the jump though?
-
I seen in another post someone mentioned that the jibs were closed today. Anyone know if any will be open tomarrow at either JF or BB?
-
Keep your eyes open tonight Papasteeze camelback will be making snow for every minitue of the 6 hours of temps we get tonight.
-
Blue has more snow to push around, more trails open and a deeper base? I'm just taking guesses.

There were plans to expand past the stevensen not sure what happened. I'm sure we'll hear about trail expansion after the hotel is up and running.
