    CLOSED

CB too, obviously for the good of the passholders, who might catch a cold if allowed to expose themselves to such extreme weather.
  2. CB is closing this afternoon, no night skiing. They are so This was the only night I could have gone this week and whilst I knew the conditions weren't going to be great, any snow is better than no snow.
  3. I've been stuck back in england for over a week and have been watching the temps here with some dismay (how sad is that?), so how bad have things got locally in terms of snow quality and terrain open? I see CB are still claiming 100% open but it was looking a bit sketchy when I left, how is it now. Also, how are Montage and Shawnee, I'm blacked out at CB this weekend but can't wait to hit the snow again.
  4. Doug you have a problem with immigrants?
  5. Ever actually tried any, or are you just another "burton is best" type? Judging by that very "stylish" hat in your avatar I suspect that might be true.
  6. Don't get me wrong, I've been at CB most days this week (including christmas day in the pouring rain, and that was excellent, despite the weather / slush and Monday was one of the best day's I've had at CB), but if conditions or crowds get that bad I'm going to say so, not just "oh Blue was wonderful today, nevermind the hour long liftlines..." I'll be up again as soon as possible, for an early session before the MXC's arrive....
  7. Yeah, but this is the first time I've thought "only just".....
  8. Just got back from a (short) day at CB, conditions sucked (3" of slush and a "base" of cat-tracked ice), there were too many people, most of whom couldn't ski/ride to save their lives. Far too many "MXC" candidates for my liking. Can't wait 'til the holidays are over...
  9. yeah, but look at it another way, I lost it because I didn't check it was tightly attached, the guys in the repair shop at CB said they expected a flood of that kind of repair at the beginning of the season. It wasn't really a product failure but they replaced it, no questions, no argument over who's fault. I will probably buy T9's for my next board too, I love the bindings and this kind of no messing warranty goes a long way with me. I wonder how long they can continue to make the color variations for each binding through time though
  10. Just wanted to share this as I think this kind of product support needs some recognition. Friday before christmas I lose the ("baltimore") toe strap from my rear binding while riding the east side quad at CB, got a replacement from the repair shop (cheap, non-capstrap type but it kept me going). Phoned T9 in the afternoon but given that it's the day before christmas break, there is no-one there so I leave a message. Tuesday morning I get a call from T9, and bear in mind that I never sent in my warranty card: T9 " so which bits do you need?" me " just the rear strap" T9 " what year / color?" me " the orange/black/white, last years model" T9 " what's your shipping address?" me " .... address given" T9 " OK we'll get in in the post today, have a good holiday" I was very impressed, Technine
  11. good luck with that, it would take a small army to get me near any shopping centers this week.
  12. Congrat's to your little one, it's really cool that she has the confidence to do stuff like that.

    Whacks Wax

This thread just keeps re-surfacing..... I'm sure the wax is great, why not hand out some free samples? Or maybe at least become a supporter and put something back into the site for the free advertising... Just my opinion
  18. I left CB at lunch time today, conditions were pretty good on the "new trails" (raceway, nile etc) but some of the icy patches, especially on the green runs were appalling (I have never fallen on honeymoon lane before, very embarrassing and a very bruised thumb). I don't care about the freezing rain last week, or even that they closed on friday so that they "could deal with it", but 2 inches of crushed ice over hard frozen cat tracks is not acceptable. I imagine this afternoon was not a good time to be at CB, even if the lift lines were short.
  19. How was CB today?
  20. Tomorrows forecast "here comes the rain again, falling on my head like a memory, falling on my head like a new emotion..." And for tonight, I hesitate to use: "ice, ice baby....."
  21. Looks like mostly ice coming our way, you and 'dude should be happy...
  22. < 10 mins from CB if there isn't to much snow on the roads, or there aren't any retards directing traffic at the crossings.
  23. That's just ridiculous, the thought of him actually parting company with a cheeseburger...
  24. M3 discord 158.5 (why not just make it a 159? ), with Technine dominator pro bindings, Ride "amp" boots. Looking at a new board this year, but want to demo some stuff first.
  25. The park did look a little congested on both Friday and Sunday when I was at CB with my kids, but to go back to the original thought for this thread: The conditions on Friday were awesome, even allowing for mother natures helping hand, the base and prep on the trails was very good. marjies was sketchy by sunday afternoon, and I hear a ranger took a bad face-plant tumble on there on Saturday, but on the whole it was great weekend.
