  1. I believe it. I have never been to Baker but a work colleague who lives in Seattle area told me about it. I actually looked up flight prices for over News Year's, about $500. lol Mid February was like $325.
  2. From what you posted it sounds like some form of the duck stance is what you want. So start with say +12/-12 and then try different angles to see what you like best. Also you might try different stance width. Again its all your personal preference. Myself I spend more time freeriding then freestyling and my angles are at +12/-9. I started riding switch last year and want to get better at it this year so I am sure I will try little variations on my stance. Have fun
  3. Another foot of snow for the PNW
  4. Dude, keep your gear. If the ski flame is low on fuel then do something else for now. Variety is good. Maybe if you aren't on the snow for a little bit the itch will come back. It happened to me.
  5. Was a just a thought, will never see light of day.
  6. I think mountains should offer a discount on lift tickets for people wearing a helmet. 5 bucks, whatever.
  7. Reading these two threads gave me my good laugh for the day. Seriously, Soccer911, as Nike would never say ..... JUST DONT DO IT. lol
  8. They really started the season in a fantastic way.
  9. The Baker website says only people with transponders and shovels are allowed on Lift 8 (which is their summit lift). good call KD. Time to revisit Whistler this winter if this kind of snowfall keeps up.
  10. Looks like Whistler and Baker are two of the places to be now. They both have received over ten feet of snow in the past two weeks! I guess El Nino is being good to some this fall. lol
  11. 49
  12. road trip lol
  13. Not officially open yet but some people earning their turns at Sugarloaf this week.
  14. I went from high school right into college and then right into a career. In many respects I am rather fortunate for that but I must say if I could rewind time I think I would take a year or so somewhere along the way and lived a winter dream.
  15. I was looking into Mammoth Mountain. Any reviews?
  16. thanks I am in South Jersey. My parents are from Northeast PA so I come up whenever I can in winter. I try to live somewhere out west for a week every winter.
  17. Here is a picture of Sugarloaf today (from their website). Seeing this and all that snow at Loveland has me very eager to start the season.
