If you want long, low angle groomers in November, breck is probably the place to be. Peak 9 was practically made for people like you. Any major destination ski resort out west grooms plenty of terrain, and grooms better than JFBB and Blue, so don't worry about that. WROD is a white ribbon of death. This is a term used out west to describe places that rely on snowmaking to get open early in the season. It is a run with manmade snow, with no natural snow around it. Basically, it is what you find in PA all season long.

http://twitter.com/LovelandSkiArea # Snowmaking going down in 30 minutes! Let's get ready for the 09/10 season!!!about 1 hour ago from TweetDeck # Is in the pump house watching the snow guns being turned on. Time to make snow! The 09/10 ski season is on the way! http://twitpic.com/ilkw838 minutes ago from TweetDeck wont be long now!! it would be sweet if loveland had the firepower of some of the eastern resorts (looking at you, Big Boulder)...they could be open by this weekend if they did.

season passes to aspen are spendy.

Maybe ill have to make an appearance at JF this year over winter break after not skiing there at all last season....that is if they get any natural snow to make these new glades skiable Mark Daubert is good people, its good to see that he is so involved with this project.
-
YES!!! I LOVE 45 degree sheets of ice!!
-
accuweather has a huge bias towards more snow for the east coast. this forecast is worthless.
-
I have skied 18 inches of untouched pow in the Jack Frost glades before and no, that is not sarcasm christmas storm of 02, then again on presidents weekend in 03
-
Colorado has no glades, only Jack Frost.
-
me hucking crack rock at loveland today Ill post more pics from this weekend later, my god what an amazing weekend.
-
loveland was SICK the last two days. I70 closed last night, so me any my friends stayed in Silverthorne. The highway opened at 8:30 this morning, and we got back up to loveland hours before the denver crowds could get through Jordan
-
I can get you a loveland lift ticket for like $30 with my pass if you want... Jordan
-
yeah, its an up slope, so the ski areas right along the divide will have the most snow. Its a shame eldora closed...that would be the place to be. This will be their biggest snow storm in years, and they closed last week. on the bright side, echo mountain park will get clobbered
-
if berthoud closes though, which it may if the NAM's prediction of 40 inches is accurate, you should come up to loveland
-
loveland or Winter Park are going to be the places to be god, I wish eldora was still open, this is going to be their biggest storm in many years, and they closed last weekend

forums that over-moderate don't last long, because they are not enjoyable to post on. that is a FACT.
