  1. i live 10-15 mins east of jf and bb (same elevation approximately) and there is about 3 inches on the ground
  2. you should have no problems with those boots then if you get a proper boot fitter to remold the liners. I also ski a 29 shell and i am in a 15 sneaker. the only thing done to the boot besides properly molding the liner is a custom foot bed.
  3. and every product description talks about the added performance you get with intuitions.
  4. i don't know if there are any boot fitters in PA, but if you can find one, get him to punch out the toe box in the shell. not true, liners are very important when it comes to performance. Why do you think people buy intuitions?
  5. props to peak for doing this..
  6. is this just going to be freedom park? I have to decide whether to bring a pair of skis home or not.
  7. no, not really a fan of warren miller..I did go to the TGR show last month though..
  8. why not? seth is the best skier in the world IMO
  9. I went to keystone on Saturday morning. Waited about 45 mins for the gondola, took one run, and left. I then drove over the pass to loveland, where i was able to ski onto the lift for the rest of the day. btw, Why the fuck did keystone not have the HS Quad open when lines were so long for the gondola? and doug, there is no skiable snow anywhere except the WRODs as of now. its kinda depressing, its almost the middle of november and there is almost no natural snow to be found... also, i saw seth morrison at loveland both days this weekend, someone should let him know that the snow is much better one state over, lol
  10. im thinking BB will open 12/6/08 and JF 12/13/08

  12. theoretically, you need a wet bulb temperature of 32 to blow snow, realistically, 28 or so. If the temperature is at 32, you can make snow as long as the humidity is below 70% or so. With very low humidity, you can make snow at temps up to 40 or higher, it is just not very efficient. They were doing it at loveland today, and it was definitely in the mid to upper 30s.
  13. Can someone translate this into English? I hate to be the grammar police, but this is ridiculous. Yeah, Elk has some great terrain, but when everything is skiable at Jack Frost (elevator, risk it, all the glades, etc..), which only happens ever few years of so, JF still wins. I may be biased because i know all the nooks and crannies of JF like the back of my hand, but that is how I feel.
  14. LMAO, this is a tribute to the fact that all skiers in PA care about anymore is park.....and it sucks. JF wins in terrain, hands down. Jordan
  15. Heh, looking at the forecast, we will be lucky to ski ABAY on the 17th...
  16. its very energy inefficient to make snow at higher temperatures.
  17. believe me, changing water ratios is not a big boulder trade secret. Depending on the humidity, you could make snow with air guns at temps up to 40 degrees... Jordan
  18. compressed air guns ARE better at marginal temperatures. Anyone who has taken a physics class can tell you that fans raise the ambient air temperature, while the rapid expansion of compressed air cools it... Jordan
  19. Wow, i hadnt seen this post yet. I would be down for this, and can probably offer some couch/floor space... Jordan
  20. umm, they do that pretty much everywhere....
  21. My guess is December 6th, last year was a fluke with that cold spell. If they are seriously talking about halloween, they need to wake up and realize that they are still in northeast PA.
  22. no can do, at boulder, everyone is born with the ability to clear 40' + jumps and hit gaps on to rails.
  23. the basin was gooooooooood today
  24. damn, was there top to bottom coverage?
