some people that are higher up (pat terry, huf, etc.) need to realize that although they are in a high place at JF and BB, they still work at a fucking 50 ACRE SKI HILL IN NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA! its interesting how much more laid back the areas out here are even though they are huge corporately owned operations.

Until last year, I skied at JF and BB almost every weekend in the winter since I was about 5. My mom worked in the JF rental shop on weekends for years so my sister and I could get free season passes. I also worked in JF ski school for 4 years (2 of which were volunteer) until last year when Pat Terry, on a newly granted power trip given to him by PEAK, wouldn't hire me back because I was only going to be there for a month over christmas. I guess you can say i have made some connections there thats how I know things jordan

in Huf's defense, he can build a mean motocross jump, he just needs to realize that they have no place on a ski/snowboard park

naa, they just got into big fights with huf, because they knew how to build parks better than him, and wanted to do things properly. The mountain sided with Huf because had been there longer, and fired the park logic guys.
  12. JF: T-Bolt, Challenge, Floyd's Folly on a side note, bombing and jumping the floyd's headwall is hella fun...just make sure you have a spotter.. Jordan
  13. i have a feeling mt snow will be the first in the east because PEAK is really big on early season, as they should be, it is the most profitable time of the year.
  14. Maybe CB doesent feel the need to have their mountain infultrated with park rats...ever thought of that? I think they are going for a different type of crowd...especially with the new hotel. As far as free ski areas go, CB is about as good as it gets in the poconos. It is huge compared to pretty much everything else in NEPA, and there is a nice variation of all different types of terrain. My only gripe with CB is that their rangers always seem to have a stick up their asses, but ski patrollers pretty much everywhere in the poconos are getting closer and closer every year to the way ther rangers are at CB (with the exception of jack frost, but im sure that will change as well as soon as they lose a big lawsuit like CB has in the past). There are plenty of mountains in the poconos with outstanding parks now, why bash on the ones that choose to keep more of a traditional ski area? Dont like it, dont go; no one is forcing you to. anyway, enough rambling... Jordan
  15. last year was a very good early season, it is not likely to be like that every year. Also, loveland is your best bet for skiing in early november, not copper. Because of the higher elevation, they are able to get more open faster. A-Basin should be decent as well, but be prepared to wait in lift lines of 1-2 hours if you go there that early in the season. By the way, A Basin and Loveland opened last year on october 13th and 14th respectively with one trail each, but loveland did a much better job of getting more terrain open quicker IMHO.
  16. the ski area that usually is the first in the US to fire up the guns plans on doing so in just 24 short days!!! http://skiloveland.com/ winter is getting closer!!
  17. killington is shortening its season to nov thru april? LAME!!
  18. they did have 2 rails set up the day of the teton gravity movie premier in November too...
  19. where are the pics?
  20. naa, next year ill be doing the colorado pass (vail resorts), the eldora pass, and the 7 pack at aspen/snowmass for a grand total of $600 (100 more than JFBB ) i think... I would buy a JFBB pass for over christmas break, but they are too expensive to make it worth my while If JFBB starts selling 4 packs, Ill consider it
  21. Yeah, both states are part of the DLC, so they have to report offences to eachother. NJ just isnt as nice to thier residents as PA is though... Colorado, Maryland, Nevada, New York and Pennsylvania are actually the only 5 states out of the 46 members that do not asess points for out of state traffic tickets...
  22. WRONG from PENNDOT website: http://www.dot10.state.pa.us/pdotforms/fac...eets/fs-dlc.pdf
