PA doesent add points to your license for out of state tickets either...

no people here are like the people that drive 64 in the fast lane while taking 20 minutes to pass a truck while holding up 300 cars because going any faster would be illegal..

I did the killington day trip this january. it took around 4:45 each way, but I usually keep it at around 75 on the thruway because those NYS cops are brutal with their moving radar... by the time the detector picks it up it is generally too late with moving radar..., but since you are a cop, you could probably make it there in around 4 at like 85-90 MPH...

Your logic was that it was unsafe, thats why people are arguing. You started by saying that the real reason that people shouldnt do it is because it is unsafe to be there if its not patrolled. There are plenty of places out there that are unpatrolled, people go to these places all the time, so, legalities aside, your argument holds no weight Outside of the occasional Blue Ridge Real Estate security guard that drives through every now and then, no one is at JFBB in the offseason. Peak resorts does not own the property, so after the season, they vacate the premesis, so I dont see how the hiking situation in the post season will change from how it has been in the past. Also, I think blue ridge higher ups have better things to do with their time than to stake out and prosecute those dangerous criminals who want to earn some turns.

by your reasoning I shouldnt go hiking or mountain biking in the woods either right?

you are fucking retarted if you think you are going to go to jail for poaching a ski resort after closing. 99.9% of the time, no one is there, and if someone was, they will just ask you to leave. I also used to go with a friend to Jack Frost and switch off driving to the bottom the pick the other up each time.

not if you dont sue em...

killy generally stays open till around mid to late may right right?
-
last year, i hiked big boulder trail mid to late april. no one was around to yell at me, so I dont see why you couldnt. Of just go, and if someone yells at you, just leave, whats the big deal?

like it or not, the people you refer to as "gapers" keep ski areas in business...NOT season pass holders. To others... This whole thing is BS, Camelback, along with every other ski ares IS A BUSINESS. If a business is not profitable, they close. Believe it or not, there are wal-marts in this country that are not open 24 hours. Why? because wal-mart studies every situation, and if they generally lose money after a certain hour at night, they close. Every business out there is driven by making money, and ski areas are no exception.. While I am sure Big Boulder is losing money by being open at this point, their main goal remains to build a reputation so they make more money next year.. Camelback, unlike Blue and Big Boulder has a very different crowd, more of a city crowd rather than locals who could care less if they stay open into april because 90% of them dont think skiing exists past presidents weekend..., so for CB, it is not worth their while to stay open late in the season. When i worked at Jack Frost, every weekend after around march 15th or so was susseptible to being closing weekend. Management would closely look at ticket sales on sunday to see if it was worth their while to stay open another week. Looks like this year, PEAK decided to take a hit and chance it this year to see if they can build a reputation and make more money next year.

I wish blue would do something like this CB is da bomb
-
blue just doesent have a care for their loyal customers the way camelback does. They are having a rail jam next weekend, but the blue camp is awfully quiet. I just wish Blue could have one ounce of the goodness that camelback does.
-
Speaking of bad ski areas... why does blue suck so much anyway?
-
my guess is apr 15th
-
I just don't understand why blue doesent care about their customers the way camelback does. I dont see blue having a mid april rail jam. CB is though.
-
so why isnt blue having a mid april rail jam? what the hell is wrong with that mountain?
-
main website says sun bowl oh, and blue still sucks for not offering a post season rail jam. *Someone* just doesent give a shit about their loyal customers.
-
Why cant Blue Mountain do something like this? I guess they are just all about the money to even think about doing something they wont make much money on. Camelback will have skiing after blue is closed....interesting how the tables have turned...
