its not that it is not allowed in pa, it is just that the trails in PA are generally too narrow to do it safely while the trail is open and what happened at alpine has nothing to do with this as the boarder was on a closed trail when he got run over

im surprised they are closing east mt. they did have to truck in snow from the bottom for the summit of the east mt lift today, but other than that, east was in very good shape... nope, i have rossi B2s

i was at both jf and bb today and they are both hanging in there very well... there is no reason to close

in other news, has anyone ever used snow runners. the JF rental shop used to have them, they were basically just ski boots with flat, ski like bottoms. i remember shredding the gnar on east mountain on them they were so much fun

why go to camelback if you can go to jfbb?

JFBB is going to milk this in their advertising next year "when all the other mountains in the poconos closed due to warm weather and lack of snow, JFBB was going strong"

CB might have the only open tubing in the area that weekend, or maybe no one will even have any by then the way things are going...but other than that, stay away from CB in my opinion. BB used to be a great beginners mountain, but now its basically just one big terrain park. I would go to JF during the day and BB at night since they are both on the same ticket. jordan

the correct answer is wawa. There is one on the corner of 115 and 940. The time it takes to get from JF to BB through split rock and going 940->115->903 is roughly the same, and wawa is well worth it.

they do get $5 for every person they catch without a lift ticket, but it has never inspired them to check in the past, i guess the new guys want to make a little extra cash
