its true He may initially shape and build them, but he wont be the one maintaining them every day.
-
you honestly think that park logic had nothing to do with setups? Jordan
-
I doubt it, because maintaining the park is not that person's job. Jordan
-
they got rid of traxx because the insurance rates became obscene, and they were paying more out than they were taking in. Jordan
-
how do we know BB fired these guys and they didng just get pissed off and leave? Jordan
-
correct, there are about nine lights total on Jack Frost Mountain, so the groomers and snowmakers can see.

Big Boulder Park-Park Logic

Looks like a veteran (i have a good idea who, but i won't name any names) working at BB got tired of shawn and julian calling all the shots, and didnt work well with them, so they just got up and left. I'm assuming here, but that is how it looks to me. Jordan -
definately would be interesting to have a midnight madness at JF

Big Boulder Park-Park Logic

This looks like a result from too much change too fast, and people getting cranky. Thats a shame it has to work out like this. From all my years at JFBB, one thing i have learned is that there are so many cool and talented people working there, but a select few get all caught up in any little bit of power they have, and forget the real mission, to run two kickass ski areas. Jordan -
LMAO CB is the only place that relys on natural snow in a climate that gets less than 50" a year
-
wow, east mountain rarely opens before christmas and they opened it today. Great job PEAK, keep it up Jordan
-
someone help this man out.. Jordan
-
, i see nothing is changed then. they dont check tickets, and then complain when they lose money because people ski without them.. Instead of implementing ticket checkers, they inconvienience season pass holders instead. Jordan
-
i wouldnt be surprised if BB has the entire mountain open by this weekend
-
are they actually checking tickets this year? i think over the past 10 years or so, i have had my pass checked at the lift a maximum of five times a year. Jordan

Camelback needs to get a better advertising team... has anyone seen CB's magazine with a picture of the flat part of the mountain at the bottom on the cover..

JF on the other hand does have some steeps you could practice jump turns on. You just have to know where to look. Jump turns are my favorite part of skiing, they are just so much fun . one of the good things about them blowing snow on elevator at JF a few years back was the fact that if you didnt go through the chute that they groomed out, the piles on either side of it made it steeper than it ever has been, with a few small cliffs to jump as well.. Jordan
-
what steeps? You obviously have never been to BB... Jordan
-
other way around, its mostly 55, but you can go as fast as you want as long as you watch out for a couple areas where there are 2 white lines in the road about 150 feet apart (vascar traps). I have never seen a state cop patrol 115.. Jordan
-
definately not the fastest route to BB from scranton... its either 81 to 115 or 380-->940 Jordan
-
this is BB's earliest opening in (i think) almost 10 years. Great job guys!! its so nice to have these ski resorts run by a company who actually cares about them for a change. that was not meant to be a shot at blue ridge, but they are a real estate company, not a ski company.. Jordan
-
Im sure that they will renew.. BB makes more money from that than they would if they were open for skiing that weekend. Jordan

how hard is it for you guys to navigate the JFBB website http://www.jfbb.com/snopass.asp $27 for BB 3pm to close midweek $29 on weekends -
so they are going to reopen after the maple rock race weekend? They could (depending on weather and if they blow snow like crazy) stay open till late april or early may if they wanted to I think... Jordan
-
I see you hiked it.. Did you ski down? Jordan
