Wait, Fluffy is Huff? The guy who used to build those god awful (motocross style) jumps at BB with no landings, and got the park logic guys fired because they apparently called him out on his sucky-ness at park building? Why did I never know this before This is pure gold

Don't forget to get on those groomers opening day before they get all tracked out!

I built a snowgun and made a decent amount of snow when I was about 10 years old, and I still think you are an idiot. Connecting a few pieces of plumbing together and reading a psychrometric chart to find allowable temps and humidity limits is not really rocket science. You are just a blind supporter of everything your beloved JFBB does.

$25 Lift tickets on Cbs Local deals Philadelphia

are hop turns required? -

anyone who can hold an edge can make it down just about anything on skis. skiing it well is another story. I would hardly consider something that tops out over 45 degrees flat.

yeah, beaver creek is flat alright!
-
beaver creek is not as crowded as vail, that is true. The bus from avon to vail is fine, and I am pretty sure there is a reduced rate for kids. There are no base lodges at vail or beaver creek (or keystone), just bring a backpack and stash it in one of the on mountain lodges or ski with it if it doesn't bother you. just make sure you go get it before the lifts stop turning. There is free parking at vail, it is kinda far away, but buses in town are free. you also have to get there super early to get a spot. on weekends, you can also park on the north frontage road in west vail for free. Utah FTW. Jackson is cool, and everyone should ski there some time in their life, but snowbird is almost comparable with regards to terrain, and in utah, you generally get better snow and you have more resorts to choose from. Also, when I say utah, I am referring to LCC/BCC only. None of that park city crap.

how hard were the blue squares? I am just learning stem-christies. Do you think I will be alright?
-
oh good, as long as there is no black diamond or double black diamond terrain, I think I will be ok! Are blue squares hard at killington?
-
"heavy snow" refers to intensity, not accumulation. I have seen the NWS post forecasts for heavy snow...even in colorado... with way less than 4-6" forecast to fall.

Nope, sleigh (A) basin opened today. Loveland's earliest opening was september 30th, I think back in the 70s without snowmaking. Their 2nd earliest was 2 years ago..october 7th. barb, go skiing. Loveland doesn't even get crowded like A Basin does early season. Ill see you there on saturday...k?

A Basin and Loveland are gonna be pissed (wolfcreekopensonsaturday)

really? FKNA! PA resorts are stepping it up this year! -
They are limited by water rights, not their snowmaking system
