  1. By the time I got there at 1230 the fog had lifted and the snow was soft with the exception of Modway was a bit crunchy. Beautiful afternoon of Spring skiing without goggles or turtle fur.
  2. Gonna ski Blue this afternoon for my day 6 - using the $35 deal they are offering to folks with season passes to other mountains. Already hit Frost, Roundtop and Hunter in past 9 days so will be nice to ski somewhere I haven’t been recently. May be my first time since they got rid of the Main Street chairs - which were the only game in town when I started at LG. Next stop after this will be Stowe next Mon-Wed
  3. One worked at Sesame Place as a photographer
  4. I see GSS hates it as much when I discuss Blue conditions on this page as he does when I discuss anything else here. Roundtop was a real good time yesterday.
  5. Thanks so basically * Paradise * Lazy/Falls * Vista/Burma * Vista/Chute or Midway/Main Could be worth buying a midweek ticket to ski that a little closer than any of the Epic options on a day when my time is limited. Better than anything else available closer than Catskills on a day when lines will not be a factor
  6. Not seeing a trail report there currently. May just be the site is hard to navigate or may be because they are closed today, but figured folks here would at least know what was open when they were last open
  7. Should be soft for sure. Think they have enough base to withstand rain overnight and what should I expect to be open trail wise?
  8. Hmm on reading reports from yesterday Blue may not be best plan for tomorrow
  9. Thinking of heading to Blue on Tues. Any idea what is likely to be open?
  10. Real nice time yesterday on the two open runs from 12 to 4. Minuteman got a bit skied off on the headway but there was nice snow on skiers right, which is also where the softest snow was on the bumped up Upper Lafayette. This is better terrain than what they have open so far at JF.
  11. Enjoyed Roundtop yesterday. Speaking of Buddy Passes, I am Thinking of hitting Blue tomorrow.
  12. Nice did it appear they were working towards being ready to open Exhibition (run to skiers right of Minuteman) and the lift that runs up it tomorrow?
  13. Don’t know their policy but have definitely seen people doing it there. Will be there this weekend, probably Sunday, which will be the 4th opening weekend of a mountain I have attended this year.
  14. Vanessa not with us anymore. We are now The Beagles with Joy.
  15. Got 6 runs in this AM as I was in the area, 2 each on Belt, Minya Xover Mossy and Hellgate Broadway Kennedy Smooth surface that was a little soft as it had rained earlier but fortunately not while I was there. Nice to be there on a weekday making for zero lines
  16. Oops - should have gone in The Lounge- please remove thread from here
  17. The Wisest Flower drops 2/7/2025 on Spotify and Everywhere! Pre-save today at too.fm/WisestFlower An early taste of our Soul On Fire album, coming out Summer 2025
  18. Skied 13 runs from 1-4 with nice conditions and zero lines. They now have Jane’s Lane and Easy Rider open along with One Park and snow blown into the trees alongside the latter two.
  19. Showing mad respect for the top lot Little Gappers
  20. I think they view their resorts systemically rather than individually. Get JF open a bit to calm the gripes of the Roundtoppers who can roadtrip up there. Those closer to Poconos that might gripe about nothing with a headway being open at JF can go to Hunter for Hellgate. Those wanting more terrain than Hunter has open can head to VT. And honestly that approach makes sense for a multi mountain system. Would not be shocked to see Alterra focus on opening one or other of their PA places first and direct those wanting more challenge up to Windham or VT - as suggested by planned Paradise/Burma opening at Blue
  21. They have One Park open with a towering 400’ vertical descent. That’s like 50% more than Vista lift for you BlueBees.
  22. oh well - seems like their pattern to do it west to east - hope they at least get Lehigh or Janes open to spread weekend folks out. looks like they have snow making temps through Sunday morning
  23. Nice! It’s PA and it’s skiing! What other trails are showing significant snowmaking process and look like they could get open for Sat or Sun? May well head there one of those days.
  24. Doesn’t look like I will make a 3rd opening day this Skison. One Park and the bunny slope is not compelling enough to take a day off work to hit JF. I guess there may be a chance of Roundtop whenever that happens.
