  1. I believe you can buy them online til the 24th. They would only sell for today there. Zero lines or crowds on 2 beautiful trails: Cannonball (black) was groomed and fast, Boomer (double black) was covered in small soft bumps. Powdery enough that snow often sprayed above my knees. One of my fav trails in PA. White lighting has major Whales that they are smartly leaving intact to preserve them through tomorrow's rain before spreading them out for holidays. Lapped them 16 times, about 2/3 on Boomer.
  2. Heading up there now. Appears they got all snow and it should have stopped by the time I arrive. Taking the TP route, which is a bit longer, as I expect it will be better road conditions. Gonna buy 3 of those $30 weekend tix. One for today, 2 for later in the season. And two of them I will pay for with a 30% discount gift card making the real price $21.
  3. You folks having fun yet?
  4. Seems like they do. Since they regraded trails what I knew of Hidden Valley over a decade ago isn't real relevant. Max age is 20.
  5. It seems anyone in the age range can register for their programs. They also have a winter break holiday camp before their race development sessions start in January. Not a place you can just go to ski though. They replaced all the lifts, snowmaking and kitchen and made some changes to the trails.
  6. The National Winter Activity Center, specializing in training youth 6 and up in skiing and ski racing, including participation by US ski team members. 2 days a week for 6 to 9 weeks starting at $450. Sure beats being a former ski area Winter4kids.org
  7. To clarify, their email blast indicated they are making snow heavily on 6 trails, including three of the 4 north face expert trails: Cannonball (black), Boomer and White Lightning (both double black). They have not yet said which trails will be open this weekend, but that is very promising.
  8. It was a 30% off card, so brings it down to $21. Will use up my card balance on these, not sure what that is.
  9. Saw something earlier saying white lightning and one or two others of the north face would be open for the weekend. They have moved opening date up to wed 12-14 now. $20 off means a weekend ticket will only be $30 off my gift card, which means it cost me less than that as I got a 30% off deal on the card. So really a $21 all day weekend lift ticket.
  10. Cool. That this weekend? If so will likely head up there. They are opening with their best terrain available and I have a gift card from them to use up. And their lack of crowds on the segregated black Diamond lift makes them perfect for weekends.
  11. Opens Wed 12-14
  12. Weekday pricing this weekend. 39 half day 54 full day.
  13. Opens Thursday 12-15
  14. Just before you called it quits (about 1pm) they opened up first one Merry Widow lift then the other, enabling us to get 4 runs from the top in before ending our day at 2. They were still blowing snow on that and Tannenbaum. Before that it was very frustrating.
  15. We are staying in Bennington. Not exactly certain where we are skiing yes as I am waiting to see how conditions shape up and taking deals into account. Most likely one day at Jiminy in MA and one day at Mt. Snow. The latter day we are bringing two cousins as well so I will be Mr Skiing Camp Counselor.
  16. Was annoying that the TTB trail did not open until just after 1. Really, you are going to start grooming the trail at 10am? The trail that was your justification for doubling the price to 40 after announcing Friday it would be 20. Still, kids paid nothing with their 4th grade ski passports so it was worth getting them back in the game before their first VT trip in 2 weeks.
  17. Yeah but a more recent post changes it to 40. Will be there around opening, in black, chasing two girls with green and purple helmets.
  18. Love appears to be TTB. That will probably get me and the kids out Sunday unless we decide to do Windham instead.
  19. They are adding Love (no features) Sunday, more than doubling their skiable vertical (to 375 feet)
  20. Still beats 22 though
  21. Still no chance of Vista Sunday?
  22. I went to Campgaw once since I used to work 15 minutes from there. Slow lifts, negligible vertical kinder 250 feet), and nothing as challenging as Vista. I would only bother with it if going to teach novices and it was around the corner. Less interesting than Spring.
  23. Yep. 80s.
