Awesome day. Got in 26 runs from 930 to 130. Really beautiful conditions to start that became a bit slower my mid day. Great coverage, nice carving surface, minimal lines, beautiful temperature. Nice bumps on lower Cleo. Run of the day was Marjies

Helmets are comfortable, hold your goggles, keep your head warm. What's the down side? -

I have a friend who makes his living selling life insurance, has a kid, and refuses to wear a helmet skiing or biking. Uh dude this is a lot cheaper than life insurance and you don't have to die for it to pay off. -

Blue's site says Razorback is open but Razors Edge is closed. I suppose that means you need to hike to ski Razorback? -
Seriously, WTF is with this Weather?

If the Poconos got the kind or rain we got in NJ last night this season may not have a lot of legs left in it. -
I got the terminology backwards. My old Solomons were rear entry. My current Nordica are front entry. Definitely replacing within the next two months when I find the right affordable boot that fits well.

Anyone have any experience with boots at the 2 places closest to me: Ski Barn in Lawrenceville and Lang's Ski and Scuba in Ewing?
-
Interesting. I could consider that price point. Folks feel these are well worth it?
-
How much would something like that run with the discount. I really don't know the first thing about boots. I have owned three pairs. Some used rentals I bought at Little Gap around 1980, some Solomon front entry boots I got when those were hot around 1988, and these Nordica rear entry boots I got at least 10 (maybe as much as 15) years ago.

Was trying to type 10 years old with 150 days on them

Thinking of getting new boots as my liners are getting worn out and I am using duct tape to keep them working til I figure there will be sales towards end of season. Never used a custom boot fitter before, just bought off the shelf and never had a problem (my Nordica are about 10 years old with about 10 days on them) You all figure custom is necessary if I never had a problem off the rack. Would imagine that kind of precludes deals. How much would it set back?

Nice morning for me at Shawnee with the kids. Surface was a bit hard at 8 but real soft by the tine we left at noon.
-
Next years season passes on sale..buddy passes.

How many buddy passes are included and are those good any day? -
Afternoon of Sunday after the big snow was the day I had this experience. I was skiing with kids who were trying bumps for first tine on 2 of those runs (so more time was spent going downhill as well) and we took a bit of a break when lines were too ridiculous, but it was easily over 15 min wait for every lift.

Riding on one of those tracks on a side hill next to a trail I hit something unexpected and took a spill. Not sure how it was the thumb that got hurt as it happened pretty suddenly. Starting to feel better, but have to see if it swells up overnight
-
Nice hard fast cord at camelback today too. Skied 830 to 2, no lines till 11 and managed to ski alternate lifts to avoid lines once they formed. Freaking freezing start got me to buy my 1st face mask Injured my thumb a bit. Icing now.

Interesting. For the sofa?
-
Clearly I don't. Care to share your secret?

It happens, but the one day I was at Blue this year the lines were so bad I got 7 runs in over 4 hours. I could have done about 20 on Phoebe Snow in that time, and with much less aggravation because sitting on a lift is relaxing and scenic while jostling for line position in a disorganized mob is annoying as hell.
