I go with don't post things on the Internet that you really want to keep secret. -
CB offering free tix this Saturday at 10 to anyone over 14 who expresses an interest and is ready to have their skiing tested in a group setting from 1030 to 1230.

Seriously, WTF is with this Weather?

Yeah, checked distance - too far for one day even from there. But could make a multi day trip somewhere with kids if conditions warrant it in NE. We are all free the 26th through 28th and would be starting in CT. I don't give up on ski season easy -

I would consider going up to Sugarbush to ski on Easter because I am spending the night before in CT, and have passes for kids to ski free there. -

Maybe do Blue Friday solo and Windham Saturday with kids if both hold up, use up what I have paid for. -

Just bought my first home and carpets and flooring and painting and furniture and etc etc etc and did I mention alimony? Pretty tapped out about now. -
Elk is done. Offering 31% rebate off this year's pass price to those who renew for next year.

Have tix I have already paid reduced rates for at Windham and Blue. Hope I can find a way to still use them. Then I have a kids ski free offer that my pipe dream is to use at Sugarbush on Easter. But I'm not counting my bunnies on using any of those deals at this point. At least I started my season first weekend of December and got 14 days in so far. More than I did in 2012-13 anyway. -
Coverage was fine on the trails that were open. You could see closed trails from lift and agree with decision to close them. Felt like 650 but no challenge on what was open. Just a nice day outdoors on snow with no lines.

Nice day, beautiful conditions. Started hard ended soft. All the black Diamond stuff was basically closed so I did cruisers 930 to 1, never waiting in over 30 seconds of line. Might come back on another PS&R card freebie next year when more is open. Will not try to come here with fresh snow on roads as ride up involves lots of hairy back roads. Beautiful lodge (at top, its upside down)I spend very little time in. No way this place makes a profit on its own. The mt. is clearly run as an amenity for property owners. Couldn't give my extra lift ticket away. Will keep it as a pretty bear sticker as it is the old school kind.

Down to 7 trails with bare spots and already announced no more night skiing
-
Wouldn't have been my first choice but I will opt for skiing for free with a friend who wants to drive. He may bring his daughter for his first lesson too.
-
Going with someone who doesn't want to pay for Blue and I figure this is Big Bears last weekend. Always nice to check out somewhere new, and he's driving. Will still use my one left over Blue ticket later this year. Either a weekday this week or Sat the 19th. Figure I am going to wind up eating my $30 Windham ticket as their conditions are looking too crap to be worth the trip.
-
Gonna give this place a try tomorrow since it is free with my Pocono Ski and Ride card. I will report back. Anyone ever been there?
-
Yes, I understand that. I don't ski the hardest stuff in the Rockies. But I don't shy away from much on the east coast if the conditions are decent.

I will be out Saturday, probably at Blue -
No I am not certain of their certification. And I understand why they want to do it that way. But it is frustrating because what it is not what I am looking for, and it is honestly hard for me to see the connect between making a smoother turn on a green trail and developing stronger abilities on the hardest stuff on the mountain, which is what I spend most of my time skiing if I am not skiing with my kids.

Depressing -
When I have taken the occasional PSIA lesson I have found it very frustrating that they try to insist on re teaching me from ground zero on trails with no incline rather than teaching me how to do the stuff I like to do a little better.
-
Pretty tempting. But with Frost not my fav in NEPA, Hunter not my fav in Skills and Mt Snow not my fav in VT, I can't bite even at a very good price for those 3 options.

Crowds on easy trails. No lift line over 3-5 minutes. Blew snow the night before but was too warm to do it today. -

Back at Shawnee today. Trails getting narrow and not real deep but still great skiing surface everywhere. Blue skies and minimal lines. Kids doing all the blacks without any spills, ready too move on to tougher hills next season. Most skiing the kids have done in a day so far too: 13 runs for close to 8000 vertical feet. -

Correct. Sorry for any confusion.
