  1. I would prefer changing home mountains every year even if no cost impact. And prefer even more not having a home mountain. I crave variety.
  2. Number of break even dates for adding Montage could drop if Montage increases day rates next season Montage black out dates on Standard Indy are Xmas week and MLK and Presidents weekends - ideal times to travel further to places without black outs
  3. So with 10% discount Standard 251 adults 98 kids (to 12) No Blackouts 341 adults 143 kids or as add on Standard 170 adults 80 kids No Blackouts 260 adults 125 kids and if one gets as add on to 499 Montage Pass (which this effectively makes $418 for adults and $481 for kids) then total price would be Standard 669 adults 579 kids No Blackouts 759 adults 624 kids Doing the math, to make it worthwhile to add Montage Pass to basic IndyPass (unless one needed Montage access on blackout days), an adult would need to plan to ski at least 9 weekend/holiday days at Montage and a kid would need to plan to ski at least 10 such days at Montage.
  4. INDY OFFERINGS Standard 279 adults 109 kids (to 12) No Blackouts 379 adults 159 kids As add on to member resort season pass Standard 189 adults 89 kids No Blackouts 289 adults 139 kids Current members getting 10% off those rates to renew, and those switching from another multi resort pass get similar discount.
  5. If you want to call me baby
  6. Expect to hit Montage Saturday if it keeps looking like rain on Sunday
  7. Nice to see the report. Considered being there Sunday then made a last minute call to hit Magic instead, which was a great day and I am glad to have made that call. Hope to hit Catamount later this year, likely 2nd weekend in March.
  8. I saw some New Hampshire plates in their lot, which I figure had to be due to IndyPass, as without a pass providing an incentive it would be a fairly odd decision to drive south to ski. Magic crowd was not bad on Sun. Never waited more than 5 minutes.
  9. Made even better by the availability of an IndyPass add on - I believe details will. E announced tomorrow
  10. Bekshire East pretty crowded but fun Saturday. Did hit some rocks on the natural cover trails. Magic was awesome Sunday, but when they said "thin cover" they meant it even more than B.East, so we only hit one of those trails.
  11. Camelback paralleling blue with the 25% off the sister resort and adding special Pass Holder lift access. They come in an insignificant $20-$30 under Blue's overall price, but throw in Camelbeach and offer considerably better deals for their off peak pass - which also starts an hour earlier (3pm) on weekends. - Unlimited Pass for $629 ($399 for ages 6-22) - Skip weekends (until 3pm) with a Value Pass for $349 ($199 for 6-22)
  12. They got popular while I was in law school
  13. I like Spin Doctors alright. Saw them a few times in NYC bars before they had their hits. And once coming back to play a packed bar as a special event after they hit it big.
  14. He was talking about Blue I was talking about things Epic could do other than raising price to reduce crowding
  15. I think it would be a positive thing if they raise prices somewhat to reduce crowding. Bringing back capacity limits and the need for reservations could work too.
  16. Lift lines will definitely be a factor when I evaluate Epic's offering - and if they raise prices I will similarly be hopeful that this will help make lines more managable.
  17. Almost that exciting time of year when those of us who don't live in the Allentown area get to compare ski pass products and make our selections for 2022/23 Blue kicked things off by taking a baby step into the multi-mountain arena with a 25% discount at Camelback, while charging $649 for what is still basically a single mountain pass. They can do that - and could even raise it more if they wished - cause the local crowd has no comparable option anywhere near as close. Hopefully this price increase will cut down on the lift lines that have been Blue's one real weak spot, as they do have a better combo of lifts, terrain, snowmaking and vertical than anywhere else south of New York. Still that's more than I have paid the past 3 years for a 40+ Mtn Epic Local pass.
  18. Inclined towards Magic for sure. Should be smaller crowds and better terrain. But will add 2 hrs to drive home Sunday Nt so want to make sure their conditions will be good enough to warrant that.
  19. HoJos in Williams MA - about an hour from either Magic or Catamount and 35 min from B.East. Gonna make the call after we see conditions reports from Sat. B.East is supposed to get the most snow on Friday. And staying right off the Interstate at Red Roof in Deerfield MA Friday for easier drive up on the snowy day.
  20. Saturday - Berkshire East Sunday - either Catamount or Magic
  21. I'd get an Ikon pass if they added either Blue or Camelback
  22. Would be nice if they offered a Blue/Camel combo pass. Wouldn't actually cost them anything extra to do so as you can't ski them both at same time and there are negligible people if any buying 2 Pocono only passes. And they could even charge a little more for it I'm sure.
  23. Expecting I will soon have sole custody and girls will get to ski a lot more.
