Should have read "a weekend too busy to go to" (Archer). But expect to go to Hunter Saturday. How's things at Little Gap these days? -

Enjoyed the 5 runs and hint of glad they had open at JF for a little while Sunday. No lines or crowds and free to me on a weekend too just to make it to Hunter. -

May check out JFBB Sunday AM if enough is open. Gonna be too busy between GF and kids to make it up to Hunter this weekend. Glad I got 2 days in last weekend, when conditions were better than seems likely this weekend anyway. -
Excellent conditions at start of each day, getting skied off by the end on the popular trails. Had to be pretty good for my girls to handle the stuff they did. Supposed to rain next two days, so see what happens - but they have a great base and are having best early season ever with a 2 foot dump this week, main face 90% open, and a couple trails on North side.
-
Gorls did awesome today - hit every black diamond off the top of Hunter and even Upper K27 (double black). 13 Runs.
-
Why would I want to go there when I could go to Hunter?
-
Expect we will check out Big Snow in the off skison
-
I really have no concerns about the rate at which they are improving. I am getting them greater challenges to master. Hunter this weekend. Wildcat and Attitash in a few weeks.
-
Hunter has things too tough for my 12 yos to ski at least.
-
Taking the kids up for their first weekend at Hunter. Spending Sat Nt up there so we can ski 2 days, which will likely be our pattern. Gonna get a much better ski time to drive time ratio than day tripping to Blue. Plus the real skiing factor.
-
It is a peak dining card. I got it at Hunter last weekend. I just bring my stuff when I stay over there as she stays with me much more often (and leaves stuff here) as I have a nicer place.
-
Bonus to having a GF is she lives a little north of me so only 2 hrs 40 min each way to Hunter tomorrow as I start and end there. Definite keeper 🙂

Camelback might be being sold...

They did some of the easier blacks at Copper and Sugarbush last year. -

One is faster than the other certainly -

They wont be sampling any real double blacks any time soon, but may try some blacks at Wildcat and Vail this year. There will always be PA mountains to make them feel like experts. -

It was hard enough topping Blue. Might just go back and forth between Epic and Ikon alternate years, or might give ORDA a try one year if they price it right. -

Seems like they are with Alterra based on black friday deal, though not on ikon this skison. Will likely get me to Ikon next year -
Epic passes arrived - for those keeping score at home.
-
Being able to ski double black diamonds at Blue does not a double black diamond skier make, but it was good for their "skigos"
-
Epic Passes have not arrived yet since we upgraded from Peak ones.
-
Minor frustration, they were not set up to create the Peak dining card I had ordered in the Spring (paid $250 for $300 value card) so had to pay full freight of $12 for a cheeseburger and 2 dogs. Not being fully integrated with Epic computer system yet is understandable, but they have been with Peak for a year and should have gotten that part together.

Yep, was pretty great for early season getting the girls their ski legs back. 3 runs with about 450 vertical with decent coverage and no lift lines at all - lapped them 16 times. First time I had been to Roundtop. Probably a better call than Hunter for their first day out and barely any further than BB. Expect it will all be washed away today.

Too much going on at work to take an extra day off for Hunter the day before my Key West trip. Will start the Skison with my girls instead on the 23rd and/or 24th.
