Will consider it, but gonna spend the night before with new GF who is away the 4 prior nights and it will be 1 month anniversary and we have been keeping busy most nights til 4 or so going again and again so that may preclude it.
-
Thanks. Time to get back on the bike and get in better shape for next one.
-
About half their open trails were too sketchy coverage to ski with kids. But there was plenty to keep us entertained.
-
Sugarbush was awesome today. Kids skied more vertical than any day yet including a mogul filled black from the top. That's a wrap for the 5 month Skison

Still on the fence about the VT thing for Thurs. If we go I am leaning towards SB largely as its open terrain is all consolidated together while K would require more traversing between pods. SB being cheaper while K is closer is pretty much an even trade. The issue is the uncertain weather. As of now the forecast calls for rain ending about 9-10am Thurs, which would be fine if that's what happens. But Weather forecasts can change a bunch in 40 hours and it would bite to drive all that way for one day of skiing that got washed out. Need to decide by tomorrow AM as aw would be driving up to do Six Flags N.England tomorrow on our way there.

I said an extra 80 min r/t. Is it under 40?
-
Never had a gig in Lehigh Valley, no. My preference is always doing the originals. That's the best we have to offer Nd what makes us unique. Actually considering K over SB, though I would have to pony up more $ for lift tix. Cutting 80 min off the r/t drive is appealing, and kids would enjoy going somewhere they have not yet been. Will see what the reports from each place looks like as we get closer.

Playing all originals for this one
-
No Live Aid, but we are playing an event that draws 40k to heat live music on streets of Princeton each April.
-
Ski season ideally lasts right up til playing big outdoor concerts on the weekends season which starts April 28 for me

Just havend decided yet for sure, but will investigate weather and conditions more before deciding on Tuesday. Most likely will do it if neither of those factors look bad. Have kids for last half of their spring break, and they are not doing anything with mom over first half so will be nice to give them a little getaway.

There is a 50/50 chance I will take an overnight with my kids doing 6 Flags New England on Wed (we have 6 flags pass), then getting a hotel near Sugarbush and skiing there on Thursday. Have a couple free passes to SB for kids and they are offering pretty good discount for an adult ticket. If I get in one more day, that will be it. Otherwise done til November.

Was on my older Fischer skis as I correctly anticipated a day not to use newer skis - definitely had to dodge some rocks on a couple runs, and there were bare spots. Good for them for going for one more weekend day, but they definitely included some sketchy trails in the open count.
-
It was definitely on the warm side for skiing by the afternoon, and the number of slushy areas and bare spots made it a sub optimal experience. In contrast, I think last week at Hunter I got in my most vertical of the year, or close to it. So basically I skied every run that was open once (except for one or two Blues that were a hike from open lifts), and none were really so great that I really wanted to ski them again. I wish it had been better conditions, but it was still a nice time in a beautiful setting and I am glad to have spent the day that way. Liked the new gondolas too, first time on those. Still very clean and no smoke odor at the end of season 1.

I hit Whitetail and Hunter closing days
-
A little slushcuppy at the finish of each run but good times. Hit 3 closing days this Spring
-
It is now. That was only recently announced.
-
Where do you start?
-
730 AM which should get me there about 10:20, likely ski til close. And get home by 7. Glad to carpool with anyone interested in going, even meeting somewhere en route.
-
Take it to the people having sex in thin walled hotels thread 😉
-
It's still $10 more than Snow, but the shorter drive more than makes up for it.
-
They have a tentative trail report up, indicating Gondola will be open as well as the triple lift 7 to top, along with almost all their diamond and up not glade terrain Quite a deal for $10

Two different guys, though I have further in the past gone to CO with Springsteen guy. Glad GF and I are both divorcees who are done having kids, view idea of marriage with skepticism and not as something to jump into quickly, and value independence as well as closeness. Key levels of compatibility at this stage of life that make a relationship far more likely to endure than if we were on different pages in such regards. If that makes us damaged, so be it.
-
Re "BFF"(?) - Unfortunately new GF is a not skier. Fortunately we both seem committed to letting one another pursue the activities we love as we are both refugees from marriages with people that did not allow us that freedom.

If there is a place close enough that is open I will get a hotel the night of 17th with girls and ski the 18th with them. Had been hoping to do Mt. Snow that weekend but it now seems they will be weekends only after the 14th. That is the last ski day I can imagine getting in as I have at least pencilled in non ski plans every weekend after that for next 2 months. Would be nice if Gore made it possible as the only place closer than K that hasn't ruled it out yet.
