  1. Bonus to having a GF is she lives a little north of me so only 2 hrs 40 min each way to Hunter tomorrow as I start and end there. Definite keeper 🙂
  2. They did some of the easier blacks at Copper and Sugarbush last year.
  3. One is faster than the other certainly
  4. They wont be sampling any real double blacks any time soon, but may try some blacks at Wildcat and Vail this year. There will always be PA mountains to make them feel like experts.
  5. It was hard enough topping Blue. Might just go back and forth between Epic and Ikon alternate years, or might give ORDA a try one year if they price it right.
  6. Seems like they are with Alterra based on black friday deal, though not on ikon this skison. Will likely get me to Ikon next year
  7. Epic passes arrived - for those keeping score at home.
  8. Being able to ski double black diamonds at Blue does not a double black diamond skier make, but it was good for their "skigos"
  9. Epic Passes have not arrived yet since we upgraded from Peak ones.
  10. Minor frustration, they were not set up to create the Peak dining card I had ordered in the Spring (paid $250 for $300 value card) so had to pay full freight of $12 for a cheeseburger and 2 dogs. Not being fully integrated with Epic computer system yet is understandable, but they have been with Peak for a year and should have gotten that part together.
  11. Yep, was pretty great for early season getting the girls their ski legs back. 3 runs with about 450 vertical with decent coverage and no lift lines at all - lapped them 16 times. First time I had been to Roundtop. Probably a better call than Hunter for their first day out and barely any further than BB. Expect it will all be washed away today.
  12. Where were we today?
  13. Too much going on at work to take an extra day off for Hunter the day before my Key West trip. Will start the Skison with my girls instead on the 23rd and/or 24th.
  14. Hunter will have 2 TTB runs open tomorrow Hellgate > 7th > Kennedy Belt Parkway Pretty nice opening. 1500' of goodness including a black off the top and a blue to funnel off the amateurs. Could well be worth the trip. You can only ski one run at a time, and the Hellgate run is better than anything anyone else will be offering this weekend south of VT.
  15. Both Hunter and BB open Friday.
  16. Might hit Hunter Friday though - leave Saturday for FLA
  17. Grading on a curve, I can't recall the last time I saw a Pocono slope that close to being covered with manmade snow on Nov 9
  18. If you consider the top of Freedom the top. I'd def drive to Hunter over bothering with that.
  19. Expect the girls and I will start our season on the 22nd/23rd - probably at Hunter unless BB is TTB - since Joy and I are going to Key West from the 16th to 20th
  20. Jet Blue to DIA, Frontier home. RT flights for 3 cost slightly less than the RT shuttle for 3 between DIA and Vail
  21. Got 4 days at Attitash and Wildcat booked for Dec and 5 at Vail booked for April so 3 Epic passes have more than paid for themselves and I'll be skiing the reat of the skison free. Waiting to find out if first turns will be at Okemo, Snow or Hunter. Hope all enjoyed the last off season the region will have with Big Snow opening Dec 7.
  22. Nah, their upgrades are free. $70 is all for me. If they want to go to a non Epic Mt next season they can kick in for that. But it seems unlikely. They are kind of over Blue.
  23. My total cost to upgrade 3 Peak Passes to 3 Epic Local passes
