  1. Certainly over 350. There does not seem to be much pitch anywhere else on WL.
  2. I was there eve of 2/13 - got the $30 night ticket - didn't have time to get anywhere bigger but was nice to check out again the place the girls and I all learned to ski
  3. Vertical served by Phoebe Snow lift is 608' Vertical of White Lightning segment is 427' Expect the headwall is close to 400'
  4. What is your issue with my stats? Or do you just like to annoy me?
  5. Did some turns here this eve - who can name it?
  6. Thinking Roundtop will be best bet tomorrow AM as they were closed today with a power outage and won't get as cold overnight
  7. Was considering skiing tomorrow but doubt it will be that great anymore as the wet snow will freeze up tonight
  8. Thanks for the update re Floyd's, RShot and glades. Better info than available on their site for sure. Might hit it for some turns tomorrow as limited time to ski this weekend.
  9. Pretty - but they better price competitively as Montage already has at least a dozen hotels within a 5 minute drive
  10. Spent a couple days at Hunter this weekend. Had the unfortunate experience of skiing a brand new trail there "Empire Trail". Unfortunate because as of last year "Empire Glade" was one of 4 marked glades at Hunter, and often the one open the most, and they decided to saw down its trees to make a short inconsequential blue trail.
  11. Take it to the photography discussion
  12. Report now shows River Shot open. Still no Floyd's, but of the two I prefer RS for the views - and also tends to stay better conditions all day with the two step headwall and width.
  13. Enjoyed RT yesterday. Lines not bad. Pretty much all but Gunbarrel open now and they are making snow on that.
  14. If you are gonna spring for lodging head further north
  15. I'll beam down from Stowe
  16. Lines got bad at JF too today - by around 920. Prob not as long as Blue - but the runs were shorter. Got 7 runs in before quitting due to lines. Real nice skiing surface with as deep fresh show as I could want and even skied a bit of their glades.
  17. Most likely going to Frost for my first PA day of the season. Tomorrow's forecast does not look fun for a RT drive to Hunter. Fresh snow will make Frost fun too with easier access from highway and easier to get there early. Will go the long way up Tpk for clearer roads.
  18. Na na na na na na ski on Sunday
  19. Bummed that WNEP Meteorologist John Hickey seems to have gotten canned. His reports (also posted on FB) were a great source of info on PA ski related weather.
  20. Moved the BC trip to Spring Break when more terrain will be open there. Turned out they got a decent amount open, but it was looking shakey when I had to make the call. Had fun at Snow, Stowe and Okemo instead.
  21. 9 days on skis by 12/26 = great start to the season
  22. Thanks for update. Think I will be heading back to Hunter tomorrow. Will hit JF once they have more open.
  23. Had good fun yesterday doing 17 runs with the twins on soft but full coverage conditions on Minya Hellgate Belt and Overlook. Best conditions were Overlook (surprisingly) and it was nice that it was served by an express lift as Flyer went down for day at 10ambig turns. Widening out to 7th Ave was fun for big turns. Lovin that my teens are speeding down blacks at Hunter all day long skiing as hard as I am. A great reward for all invested over 10 years getting them to this level as we start their 1qth skison.
  24. Cross between humor and pointing out some truly dumb stuff that ski areas spend $ on which happens to be more relevant to a discussion about lights than most other things posted here. Maybe start a definition of humor thread. Try to stay on topic.
