Not that I know of, but Inonly found out about the 6th grade deal about 53 weeks ago. This is the anniversary of my pass purchase.

Get more $ faster followed by more $ later Also if your Vail Intel is true, maybe the price boost comes with their being Epic passes

Seriously, WTF is with this Weather?

As a refresher, last year at this time the base was so skimpy we were unsure if the PA skison would last past the first weekend in March. We are now at 100% open with a nice base and snow in the forecast. -

Will evaluate when I see the prices. Last year kids were $469. It is a much more attractive proposition than a Blue only pass certainly. -

Blue joins Epic pass they will sell me 3 -
I hear flats are also great for speeding over features constructed by malicious racers and left in place by negligent patrollers

I'm not the one who decided what stats to include in the stat tracker here. Show of hands - does anyone track the amount of horizontal they ski when not doing XC?
-
I always measure runs by amount of vertical as having a long flat section adds nothing to my experience and I would generally rather go down a given vertical on a shorter steeper run, within limits, though a couple curves in the trail does make it more scenic. I have no idea what the horizontal stats are.
-
The vertical of the non Bunny lifts at Shawnee rance from 641 to 668 The vertical of the on Bunny lifts at JF range from 402 to 527 So the smallest lifts are 60% more vertical and the largest are 25% for vertical. But the largest at JF serves only 2 runs and the largest at Shawnee serves all but 1 run. And Shawnee has advantage of Express. JF has better snowmaking in glades, more marginally steep terrain and a nicer view though.
-
50% longer on average isnt signignficant? If so, Blue 6 pack runs arent significantly longer than Shawnee express quad runs.
-
Shawnee runs are significantly longer - most are 700' vertical, while JF range from 425' (easier terrain) to 525 (hardest terrain: only Rivershot & Floyds). My girls were short enough to ski Shawnee free 1st-3rd grade, so I have skied there a lot.

Would have been better customer service to offer a loyal pass holder who got hurt due to their negligence something for sure regardless of having CYA boilerplate on their passes. But never had the impression these folks were all warm and fuzzy in the way they operate. -

Thanks for the report. Was thinking of heading up to Plattekill in 5 weeks. Will have to make sure they have gotten in better shape before I do. -

No plans to go there real immanently, while sporting a Blue pass. But I look forward to checking it out when I do.

CB has another new trail opening next week, a TTB tight twisty double black under the lift next to Rocket where the Alpine Slide used to be. Baselisk Surprising with a new trail is a nice contrast to announcing one is coming soon 5 years in advance

If I got the Peak pass I would be at Hunter at least as often as JF and would take a few trips to their New England Mts instead of going put west. Montage I just stick on the Northface where there is never a line, and I am haplier spending the extra minutes on the lift than spending them in line.

I mostly ski mornings at Blue because crowds there bite in the afternoon. Especially as far a drive I have and the effort it takes to get out with kids, shifting to afternoon wouldnt be too bad. I'm not sold on this yet, still considering doing the PS&R cards next year and then a pass the following one, and still waiting to see what Peak and Montage offer. But it is more viable for me than Blue deal and more appealing than MC.

Value Pass, which is pretty flexible being good every day in March/April, even on holiday Mon-Fris, and at 3 PM other weekends. $700 for 3 of us.
