  1. Here with 2 young girls
  2. Looks like I will hold off and go Sat in light of this info
  3. There is some snow at least on Vista Cam
  4. Mt Cams show no sign they are trying to get Main St open
  5. Yeah would plan for a few runs at opening. You think crowds will arrive that early on BF?
  6. I'd go for just Vista chair for 1 day with kids Friday given we have passes there and it is closest place, especially as we will be even a bit closer as at my parents' in Jenkintown for Turkey. Vista chair's elevation of 270 is way more than Freedom, and actually is about 70% of what BB is TTB (under 400').
  7. Yeah, Love would be TTB and would likely take that over upper Montage. Shawnee is saying they will be TTB Friday, might take that over either. Also waiting to see what CB offers and would not rule out Belleayre or Hunter. Of course if Blue opens this weekend we will be there.
  8. If Boulder has TTB I would take it over Montage top half, given it would save me about 70-80 minutes RT drive.
  9. Would make good sense to me as even TTB Bpulder is full and the only interest it holds for me is being open when nothing else is
  10. What PA options do folks think we will have next weekend? I am guessing Shawnee, Camelback, Boulder. Blue does not seem to even be trying
  11. As long as it doesnt take them 5 years from showing it as "coming soon" on a trail map to actually opening it, I will give them a pass.
  12. If they get Love, which is TTB (such as it is), and school is cancelled - that may get me out there tomorrow.
  13. For just Freedom and Tannenbaum?
  14. BB official for tomorrow at 1. Didnt see anything about cans though.
  15. No go this weekend for me. Hope to be able to hit Blue between 11/23 and 11/25
  16. You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant . . . Plus the Mayflower episode of Schoolhouse Rock
  17. Is BB opening announced anywhere official
  18. Yep, will not be shocked if it delays again, but this is the first time they have had an opening scheduled for 5 years or so.
  19. 100' vertical makes for 12.5% grade Like someone put a roof over Freedom Park https://www.skiresort.info/ski-resort/american-dream-meadowlands-east-rutherford/
  20. https://patch.com/new-jersey/wyckoff/when-will-everything-open-american-dream-meadowlands Unfortunately the article gets one thing wrong, the indoor ski slope is not 800' high, it is 800' long
  21. Glad to hear there is a good reason for preferring natural bumps. Tailor made for a skier like me is just exactly perfect.
  22. I an certainly not a bump maven, but I personally very much prefer the bumps that form naturally at CB and Montage to the seeded runs.
  23. Push piles are how natural bumps start, no?Neither is a seeded mogul run.
  24. With the Blue pass it makes no sense to me, as I'm never going to pay to ski Big Bear or Shawnee when I have a Blue pass to use. I might go to JF for trees or CB for variety and lesser crowds. But throw in membership cost ($25 if renewing) and it would be $97 for 2 days I get to ski a Pocono Mt other than Blue, which is really not much of a deal, particularly as if I am going to spend $ to ski somewhere different I would rather it be Catskills or North.
