  1. Seems to me Cliffhanger usually has more moguls than Pharaohs. Not that either tend to have anything more than mini-moguls.
  2. For me it is pretty key to have more than one run with some incline to it off the only left that accesses their full vertical. Lapping Cliff would get old a lot quicker than alternating them.
  3. They get out the door somewhere between 805 (if taking bus) and 835 for school. That wont help much.
  4. I am skeptical about how much they will love getting up early enough to beat the crowds at Blue on weekends
  5. True, especially as 1. Not doing PS&R card this year 2. Will be in CO on Xmas Only way I can see hitting CB this year is if they have a longer season in Nov or April. But Blue passes likely only for 1 year while they have 6th grade rate.
  6. Not a fan of new TTB park plan at CB

  8. I have never seen Hunter get as crowded as Blue does at its peak
  9. Just saw there are going to be large glade areas open between all the trails in the new Hunter North terrain. That could get me to go for a Peak pass next season.
  10. Now just gotta hope they get some decent snow by then. Seem to remember last year was pretty rough for CO early season.
  11. Booked Copper, staying at Mountain Plaza near lift with indoor and outdoor hot tubs and shuttle to and from DIA. With skiing and rentals, flights and airport parking whole trip will run about $2200 + 40k miles + food which I expect is more than I paid for all last season of skiing including Winter Park trip. Could have saved about $300 by doing Loveland, renting a car, and staying at the cheapest place in Georgetown, but figure the Copper route will be a much better experience for about an extra 12%, so gonna live a little.
  12. Awesome WTGAI!
  13. Possible, there are certainly some things in the Rockies that are beyond me. Either way I won't be trying it this trip. If I do any skiing without the kids it will be at the resort we are staying at.
  14. Sounds pretty great for a vaca with kids. Even the back bowls not real challenging there? Where do you think would be better for a vaca with kids that would be less crowded from Dec 24 to 26 that is within a couple hours of Denver? Leaning away from Winter Park as we just went there in March, and would rather do a place with lodging on site rather than Loveland, A-Basin or Eldora. Lodging on site = they can take a break and watch a movie in the room while I do some runs on my own.
  15. Leaning towards Copper at the moment. They have a pretty good lodging deal that includes free tix for kids and reduced price for adults, and the segregation of terrain levels on Mtn looks nice. Never been there. Anyone have any thoughts?
  16. Since folks pop in to tell me what I spent on seas on passes I figured it was a more widespread hobby
  17. Got Plane tix. Skiing somewhere within a couple hours of Denver with the kids Dec 24, 25 and 26. Ho ho ho! For those keeping track $444 + 40k frontier miles.
  18. Almost 8 years. 6 years (half our marriage) from deciding to have kids to successful IVF.
  19. Enjoyed our Alaskan honeymoon cruise 19.5 years ago. Choose one that spends a day in Glacier Bay or dont bother.
  20. Lawyer by day. Rockstar by night. Latest video I edited. I get to take a turn singing lead on this one. Performing 13 of these Motown tunes with 20 of these 25 people at 11 PM tonight in case anyone wants to swing by the Hopewell Valley Bistro https://youtu.be/GhyYX7ugzQ8
  21. Sure, I got a deal. Throw in the season rentals and we are up to $817, making a CO trip a viable add on for the Skison
  22. Awesome, thanks so much Barb.
  23. Because clearly funding 2 Colorado family ski trips in 2018 and season passes and season rentals is the ultimate in cheapness
