  1. Thinking of taking the girls out west again to ski Dec 22-26 as Frontier has some cheap flights to Denver from Philly. Obviously a hard time to find deals on lift tix and lodging & GEMS card is blacked out it then. Would get the CO 6th grade ski passports for the girls to start, but wondering if anyone is aware of any other deals for that period.
  2. I will post here if I hear anything. I am not really staying on top of it this year due to having Blue season pass. Not really worth the expense just to add a day each at CB and Frost. Big Bear not a real draw, and once kids are used to Blue routinely, there will be little draw to go back to Shawnee.
  3. Just playing local fests, but sometimes have had a few hundred people grooving to our tunes which feels real fine.
  4. Album sales are not going through the roof, but we have gotten it played on one radio station, have an internet radio show coming up in a couple weeks, a local TV appearance expected in November and some nice coverage in local media. You can stream most of the tracks and find a link to purchase CD or Download at our new site Http://beaglesband.com Nice article about us in a Princeton newspaper here too. https://princetoninfo.com/meet-the-beagles-and-get-dancing-in-the-streets/
  5. Rode the Windham lift with my daughters in the off season
  6. Big Bear is about on level of Bear Creek, but empty and far.
  7. Pocono Ski And Ride Card, generally available via ski clubs, at least the Princeto one. Blue offered 99 season passes to 6th graders who had 5th grade passport last year. I got 2. May want to look into that but could be too late.
  8. Tis almost the skison! First season pass skison 🙂
  9. Have a friend who paraglides at Blue and shoots videos
  10. Biked and grilled instead. Time to start hoarding cans for November I guess.
  11. Most open vertical this side of Killington. Commitment makes up for lack of vertical.
  12. https://m.facebook.com/bigboulderPARK/photos/gm.398721717260362/10156488492794729/?type=3&source=57 Can't go up to WF or K. Got a concert Sat night. Utopia at Tower. Might go out to BB. PA skiing Nov to May.
  13. Pic they posted today seems to suggest they will be top to bottom. $15 tix.
  14. A bit firm at first, but softened up nicely. 15 runs then world class tailgate party. Met some super friendly and kind folk in Maine on 4/20 and even more today
  15. Lovely morning. Arms got sunburned. Best conditions were on Draufganger and BB Park. Word is that they will reopen for "May Day" on May 5. Did snap pix climbing Hawk Falls after
  16. Totally, but if you fall in the wet snow it is nice to have something waterproof on. And definitely more likely to fall in the slush. If it were just me it would be a T shirt (if I even bothered skiing it) but as a parent I am more protective.
  17. Its as awesome as it gets for PA skiing this weekend. My girls and I will enjoy it free of charge in our wond breakers and then take a nice little hike to nearby Hawk Falls. It will be the best skiing they get to do in the next 7 months. Hope you find something else fun to do.
  18. Probably take a brief hike to Hawk Falls in Hickory Run State Park after skiing. Be our second time closing out PA skison and following it up with a waterfall hike to welcome Spring.
  19. Only 67 at opening on Sat, high of 73 at BB. Got free tix to use, should be more fun than not skiing. Skiing Sunday River April 21 and 22.
  20. Turns out Fri and Sat at BB are last days of PA skison. Sunday called on account of forecast of rain I imagine. Ski 2 Live, Live 2 Ski
  21. Awesome. WTGAI!
  22. They announced 10 to 6 Sat and Sun with $35 tix. Will be there with the girls as we have tix to use up this season. Will be in windbreakers if forecast for high of 70 remains intact. Bring a straw as it could be a bit slushee. Maybe follow up at Belleayre, Platte kill (or Hunter if open) Sunday. Season's not getting any longer ya know.
  23. They are saying next season. It is blue and green terrain with 1000' vertical, which is a good thing IMO as that is a type of terrain where Hunter is rather lacking. Only really 1.5 non black runs from the summit. And also should reduce crowds on main lift.
