Any good CO winter break deals?
Ski2Live Live2Ski replied to Ski2Live Live2Ski's topic in General Chat
Possible, there are certainly some things in the Rockies that are beyond me. Either way I won't be trying it this trip. If I do any skiing without the kids it will be at the resort we are staying at. -

Sounds pretty great for a vaca with kids. Even the back bowls not real challenging there? Where do you think would be better for a vaca with kids that would be less crowded from Dec 24 to 26 that is within a couple hours of Denver? Leaning away from Winter Park as we just went there in March, and would rather do a place with lodging on site rather than Loveland, A-Basin or Eldora. Lodging on site = they can take a break and watch a movie in the room while I do some runs on my own. -

Leaning towards Copper at the moment. They have a pretty good lodging deal that includes free tix for kids and reduced price for adults, and the segregation of terrain levels on Mtn looks nice. Never been there. Anyone have any thoughts? -

Got Plane tix. Skiing somewhere within a couple hours of Denver with the kids Dec 24, 25 and 26. Ho ho ho! For those keeping track $444 + 40k frontier miles. -

Lawyer by day. Rockstar by night. Latest video I edited. I get to take a turn singing lead on this one. Performing 13 of these Motown tunes with 20 of these 25 people at 11 PM tonight in case anyone wants to swing by the Hopewell Valley Bistro https://youtu.be/GhyYX7ugzQ8 -

Sure, I got a deal. Throw in the season rentals and we are up to $817, making a CO trip a viable add on for the Skison -

Because clearly funding 2 Colorado family ski trips in 2018 and season passes and season rentals is the ultimate in cheapness -
Thinking of taking the girls out west again to ski Dec 22-26 as Frontier has some cheap flights to Denver from Philly. Obviously a hard time to find deals on lift tix and lodging & GEMS card is blacked out it then. Would get the CO 6th grade ski passports for the girls to start, but wondering if anyone is aware of any other deals for that period.

I will post here if I hear anything. I am not really staying on top of it this year due to having Blue season pass. Not really worth the expense just to add a day each at CB and Frost. Big Bear not a real draw, and once kids are used to Blue routinely, there will be little draw to go back to Shawnee.

Just playing local fests, but sometimes have had a few hundred people grooving to our tunes which feels real fine.

Album sales are not going through the roof, but we have gotten it played on one radio station, have an internet radio show coming up in a couple weeks, a local TV appearance expected in November and some nice coverage in local media. You can stream most of the tracks and find a link to purchase CD or Download at our new site Http://beaglesband.com Nice article about us in a Princeton newspaper here too. https://princetoninfo.com/meet-the-beagles-and-get-dancing-in-the-streets/

Big Bear is about on level of Bear Creek, but empty and far.

Pocono Ski And Ride Card, generally available via ski clubs, at least the Princeto one. Blue offered 99 season passes to 6th graders who had 5th grade passport last year. I got 2. May want to look into that but could be too late.

Tis almost the skison! First season pass skison 🙂

Have a friend who paraglides at Blue and shoots videos

Biked and grilled instead. Time to start hoarding cans for November I guess.

Most open vertical this side of Killington. Commitment makes up for lack of vertical.
