I have a 3 backpacks that fit the definition. Me and the girls could easily travel with only them if we did not need to bring ski clothes.

It's like 30 each way for a bag. We will probably pay for one bag and otherwise bring three of the free "personal items". Yeah, have to pay to pick your seat too, which I will do as flying with kids. Still quite a deal even if I wind up paying $132 in bag and seat feed for three of us to get R/T

Booked Winter Park. Got all but $60 of my 3 night hotel stay (Vintage Inn) paid for by credit card points and redit card travel rebate, to go along with flying out on Frontier miles and the 5th graders ski free in Colorado deal. My expenses will be my tix, food, parking at airport, rentals, and either rental car or shuttle. Memories of CO skiing with kids will be priceless.

Wow looks almost as cool as the true mountain. But do they have RFID readers at the lifts?

Dubai is one of the richest places on earth. Probably $20 for a felafel.

Still a cool place to sled

If they priced Xanadu on a reasonable per run basis it would be a nice summer diversion to take a few. Can't see spending more than about an hour there though. Also could be nice as a place for kids to learn without getting cold and for a park.

Why not be a completist and hit Campgaw too. As exciting as Homestretch would be with its own fixed grip lift. I did ski it once when I worked 10 minutes away. How many other folks can say they have skied 4 places in NJ (5 if you count Highpoint XC)? Now bring on the Xanadu snow dome.

Happy land and Thunderbolt Glades skied real nice and there was a soft snowy surface even in bumps.

Lots were more crowded than I have ever seen there but the lift lines were not bad at all. There were free ski demos with no real line but I did not bother. Free raffle, live band playing on snow, free coffee and hot cocoa and give away pins, bandanas, lip balm, sunglasses, etc. It was better a couple years ago when they had free lessons.

Awesome. Nice surface everywhere today.

Awesome day today. Kids did bumps on exposition, tons of trees, River Shot and Floyd. One was even still upright at bottom of Floyds.

Not as awesome as being there at 8 but still the best conditions I have had at Blue this season and no lines, so no complaint. Had to wrap up work stuff before I could take time off. Better late than never. -

Hadn't actually planned on doing mountain bike trail, just headed into trees, found myself on it, and it was fun. -
Damgerous Gore conditions last week
Ski2Live Live2Ski replied to Ski2Live Live2Ski's topic in Other Mountains
They are still saying the primary surface is LG there with 6-18" base - which is far from awesome, and you always expect are reports to be better than reality. I think it makes more sense to ski PA this weekend rather than deal with the extra driving and hotels for those conditions. -
Can't say I consider myself expert after 3 plus decades, though I ski everything in PA with confidence and seek out ungroomed terrain and glades. At the very least, before I would call someone an expert, I would want them to be able to handle the hardest stuff at Hunter and Plattekill as confidently as I tackle everything at Camelback.

Didn't make it for the morning but had a great afternoon. Enjoyed the trees off Switchback and Lazy and the bike trail between Lazy and Sidewinder. -

Winter Park being a bit lower altitude could be a plus, as one of my daughters threw up at high altitude a couple years ago when we were driving in CO in the summer, and there won't be lots of time to acclimate, arriving Sat late AM and skiing Sunday. Figure I will keep them on the lower altitude runs Sunday at least and maybe venture higher up on Monday.

Appreciate the tip, and all the others above. Most likely choosing between Copper and Winter Park. Sounds like both would be good choices based on folks comments above.
