  1. Back starting to hurt where I landed on it after being taken out by air boarder
  2. No crowds. $50 lift ticket but I bought it with a $100 gift card they sold me for $80, so really cost $40. And kids ski free with PA ski passport. Super cheap vaca.
  3. Ok NEPA not Poconos, I know. Have a Chase card deal that actually got me the hotel for $74 of "ultimate rewards points", awesome deal including Breakfast buffet for 3 10 min from Mtn. At that price well worth not doing another rt drive.
  4. Cannonball was a real sweet run for my girls. Once we discovered it we stayed there for our last 5 runs. Nice surface on it and decent steeps but the are a 4 step staircase so they could let it rip down a steep then have a flat to pause between them. We are on the fence between staying and doing Montage again tomorrow and following original plan of hitting JF tmrw. Leaving the decision to my daughters. This is the first time I have ever gotten a hotel in Poconos in ski season as I always have day tripped here.
  5. I complained to guest services but did not ask for anything, just wanted to help protect future customers.
  6. They should not have slopes open at the same time to skiers and folks on those "air board" sleds. The boarders have no control as they speed down the slopes. One took me out below the knees like a bowling ball does to a pin. Glad it happened to me and not my kids, but it is a ridiculous hazard to have, especially on green slopes. Complained to guest services that they need to segregate the airboarders to keep skiers safe, especially young beginners.
  7. Hitting Montage tomorrow and Jack Frost Saturday with my girls. Spending the night between at the Hampton Inn by Montage.
  8. Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon the way I view the holiday week. Won't be today.
  9. Thanks, but I will pass since night. Was going to take my kids over break (they ski there free with 5th grade passport), but too cold to take them out at night.
  10. May bring my kids here one day this holiday week.
  11. I'd love to get one of those discount BC tix. Planning to be here any other day through weekend or what would be best way to get it?
  12. Might consider it another year. For now the 4th/5th grade ski passport for kids is good no more than 3 days each place so it enforces hopping around. Most tempting pass is actually Peak one with Frost / Hunter / Snow. Put a HSQ on East at JF and they would sell me one of those. Main reason I chose Blue over CB today is only CB is open tomorrow. Was happy with my choice though
  13. Nice that there was no line on double through 1. Especially as Lazy and Main had best snow. Great to have sidewinder back as a trail. One of my favs sans park. Got about the first civilian tracks on Challenge which was about as fast as it has ever been.
  14. So how are folks thinking conditions tomorrow will be after the monsoon today?
  15. Awesome to hear VIP line not being effectively used to create neo-apartheid situation for Blue skiers.
  16. And the circles will keep getting smaller
  17. Forecast not real promising. Not expecting next weekend to be as good as this one was.
  18. You do a lot of vocal takes you need to find something that soothes your throat between them.
  19. Folks think there will be a bunch more open tomorrow? Seemed to be making lots of snow on all but 3 of the closed trails.
  20. By far the best of my 5 days this Skison
  21. Parked upper lot 810. All in black with white poles and neon green scrawl on ski tips. 5'3"
  22. Their Porter is a pretty good throat coater. Sip it between takes recording vocals.
  23. I was thinking drive in movie. Nah not boycotting Yuengling. I like their Porter and IPL.
  24. Don't really like to mix drinking and skiing. Will have a beer only when done for the day.
  25. Didn't even know there was a drive in. Careful with that umbrella Bobby.
