  1. Might consider it another year. For now the 4th/5th grade ski passport for kids is good no more than 3 days each place so it enforces hopping around. Most tempting pass is actually Peak one with Frost / Hunter / Snow. Put a HSQ on East at JF and they would sell me one of those. Main reason I chose Blue over CB today is only CB is open tomorrow. Was happy with my choice though
  2. Nice that there was no line on double through 1. Especially as Lazy and Main had best snow. Great to have sidewinder back as a trail. One of my favs sans park. Got about the first civilian tracks on Challenge which was about as fast as it has ever been.
  3. So how are folks thinking conditions tomorrow will be after the monsoon today?
  4. Awesome to hear VIP line not being effectively used to create neo-apartheid situation for Blue skiers.
  5. And the circles will keep getting smaller
  6. Forecast not real promising. Not expecting next weekend to be as good as this one was.
  7. You do a lot of vocal takes you need to find something that soothes your throat between them.
  8. Folks think there will be a bunch more open tomorrow? Seemed to be making lots of snow on all but 3 of the closed trails.
  9. By far the best of my 5 days this Skison
  10. Parked upper lot 810. All in black with white poles and neon green scrawl on ski tips. 5'3"
  11. Their Porter is a pretty good throat coater. Sip it between takes recording vocals.
  12. I was thinking drive in movie. Nah not boycotting Yuengling. I like their Porter and IPL.
  13. Don't really like to mix drinking and skiing. Will have a beer only when done for the day.
  14. Didn't even know there was a drive in. Careful with that umbrella Bobby.
  15. BMDI = Blue Mountain Drive In?
  16. Sullivan isn't really a black diamond objectively. Lower Cleo is usually much more challenging actually as it bumps up.
  17. Still get my one Vista run of the day as a closer. Start with Burma, end with Vista.
  18. I could give everyone here lessons on saving money (and do). But I can't say I ever even consider saving $ by parking up top. I've been driving 1:40. I get to a sign that says Blue Mountain. I have two choices. A. Park and ski B. Drive more, park, ride lift, ski. Then have longer drive home. Not a real tough call. Plus I started coming here when this was the only lot. I parked at the bottom once when I was taking my daughter tubing. I do park at the bottom lot at CB. Less driving and less walking.
  19. There's 3 TTB runs so I will hit them all. Burma is a good first run as it is a little out of the way from the 6 pack. Will otherwise alternate Main St/Shuttle and Lazy/Falls. If 6 pack gets too crowded may do Vista/Midway off double chair.
  20. If I make it there for opening I will be skiing down to the 6 pack, likely on my only Burma run of the day.
  21. Probable for a rare early am ski day tomorrow
  22. Will be skiing early on Sat and most likely Blue as I have recording session at either 1 or 2 in Lahaska. Blue really not much more open than CB unless more is added. Both have effectively 3 TTB runs. But Blue wins based on having about 50% more vertical open, at least until it gets mobbed. Blue likely for me based on it being closer to Lahaska, my planning to go early, and my having bought a couple of those $39 tix in November that I need to use up. But if tonight's recording session goes real late it may not happen.
  23. What do folks expect Blue will have open Sat?
  24. Boomer will be the best run open in PA
  25. Both are real into it. One is advancing a bit faster and she was the one with me today for a "daddy daughter day", as it was the other one's turn for a "girls day out" shopping and dining fest with grandma. About 4 times a year we split them up for some 1:1 time and today was such a day.
