No hot chocolate for me if I come Fri. Girls will share if they come with me Sat. If you saw how long they took to finish half a hot chocolate you would make then share too. 2 juicebags. . -

May make it out Friday or Saturday morning for a bit to ski the 1 and a third runs they are calling 5 trails. -
Source for that article appears to be Blue promoting its anniversary. But glad folks are having fun playing. just don't stay up all night doing it the next 2 nights and risk missing first chair
-
Don't mistake commenting on an inconsistency on an Internet forum for caring about it. Clearly they want to market this as the 40th anniversary cause they think it will make them more money and further lengthen the worst lift lines in NEPA. Woohoo.
-
Nah I will just rely on the three articles above saying 77 is not the date til I see a 77 article announcing their opening.
-
Would be delighted to see someone actually post a historical article thst agrees with the 77 date.
-
Because three articles posted to this thread, including 2 posted to prove me wrong, state it was either in the 60s or in 1975 and it seems no evidence at all that the website of the place proclaiming this their 40th anniversary states that is the case. I don't care at all when the anniversary is, just trying to sort out facts from misinformation. I do care what the price crowds and trail list will be this Saturday
-
That also says 1975.
-
That article says 1975
-
The wfmz article that says it is the 40th anniversary says it opened in the 60s. Typically I would trust a media report over something on Wiki which anyone can change. Is there no basis for saying it opened in the 60s?

Double bonus. Gain Sidewinder as a ski trail and ship some boarders off to other mountains.
-
I don't understand what 40 years marks. There has been a ski resort there more than 40 years and it has been called Blue less than 40, as it was still Little Gap when I first went there in the early 80s

New map shows that the Gondola goes to the highest point on the Mt right by the Tomahawk lift and they build a skier bridge over the road for a new TTB trail. Makes the Mt more unified and should be nice. If nothing else you can go direct to Tomahawk side on fast gondola now instead of having to ride a couple slow lifts to get there, and should reduce lines on other lifts.

Seriously, WTF is with this Weather?

If they get TTB open at Boulder next weekend I will hit it if it is the only action in PA unless Catskill puts up something much more interesting. If third trail is a parallel mini run at the bottom I will not bother on a kid free weekend. Sick daughter kept us in this weekend. -

Yeah lower parking lot at CB is a dream, and the double and triple lifts almost always let you avoid the crowds. If I had to pick one Mt in PA to ski based on combination of lines, distance, parking and terrain it would be CB. -
Yep 15 cans get you in Sat. Email received. Might bring the kids

Time to stock up on cans of peas

Lift served fixed heel cross country skiing at its finest. (Almost as good a slogan as "like VT skiing but without the drive")

Amy speculation on start of PA skiing

Nice deal. If those PS&R cards do not come through by then, I will bite.
