Good to know! Thanks.

...what do I need to know?
-
Blah. Freezing now I'm sure... More snow later in the week - should be fine by weekend....
-
How'd Blue do? Rain here in central jersey all day, now freezing solid.... Snow there? Looks like Catskills got all snow...
-
I was at blue last night. Kids had fun. It was pretty slick. Icy bumps on main street were a bit jarring. Niight mare bumps were a little better. Found a bike trail that skied much like a luge track. Would be fun with some snow on it. And there there is a cool thing on the side of sidewinder - must also be a bike trail? Couple of berms and features - skiers right of the trail, past the snow guns? Takes you up high relative to the trail. Had half decent snow actually and was pretty fun. Good times. 6 pack got mobbed around 5:30. Doubles were empty all night.
-
Wow - looks cool under the lights....is that the blue glade, or blue bomber glade? Or whatever it's called...
-
Yeah, as long as it's not super packed, it will be fun...conditions are kind of secondary....
-
So my oldest wants to go night skiing and has a half day coming up this week. Storm will push it back to weds, or thurs.... Is the whole mountain lit? How are the crowds typically mid week. I imagine they will be pretty heavy this week with the snow. But if we got on the mountain by say 4, skied till 8 on weds?....I imagine things get crowded around 5-6? Do they run all the lifts? I haven't been night skiing since 1988 on a hill in Ohio....pretty psyched for this....

Bet I know the exact spot. That glade was really nice - except for one semi-steep pitch. I was cruising down, really enjoying the snow, hit that pitch, boom, hit a rock hard, double eject onto more rocks. Really surprising, The rest of the area above and below had fine coverage. Daughter and I were there today. Great day. Nice snow every where except elevator glade was sketch and elevator was kind of meh. Super day. -

Awesome! Are you getting any of the rain cross over or is that all fluff? -
Awesome news. Locked in for Sunday at JF so we'll miss the fresh stuff, but should be nice conditions anyway.
-
Yeah, I'm sticking with sunday. Hope there's a little snow Saturday.....
-
Interesting stuff. Hm. Guess I'll keep my sights set on JF for Sunday. No sense switching plans for a maybe snow event...
-
What's up with this forecast? Central Jersey looking at 5-8" Saturday, but nothing in the pokes? Then cold Sunday..... Come on - we don't need the snow, you guys do.... Oh well, at least no rain.

Was there for the morning yesterday. Had a good time, but have to say, for as nice as the snow was at main street, found some of the other trails a little scratchy. Having bitched about that though, I have to say, it's incredible how much terrain they can get open quickly. and I absolutely love the fact that they are blowing snow into the trees! It's just kind of counter intuitive, you know? Man made tree skiing....awesome. The trees on the left of main street > bumps > right side of main street was well worth the drive though and glad I got some skiing in before this weather.... Have a good week everyone...

Any bumps?
-
1/10/14....cold..lots of terrain open.

Any bumps besides main street? -
I guess we always hit it on race days when it's closed pretty much all day....
-
What time do they close Razors edge for the ski team? I might be making a solo run up there sunday morning. With the kids, will get on mountain a little faster. Could head right to it. I think I've only skied it like 2 times in the last 5 years because it's always closed for the ski team or races....
-
And chance of some bumps on Tunk this weekend? More trails opening? Planning a sunday outing, trying to decide if it's worth the drive....
-
1) At least blue bumps something. 2) Yes, they should seed and leave half the falls. that would be fun. 3) They should also pick one - chute or that other one....midway? and leave it ungroomed, or even seed it. 4) Barney's bumps is better on the other side IMO. But since it's not....they should continue that lower section all the way down main street.....would be fun to have bumps and the ruts and jumps that develop on the side kind of mixing together... 5) They should leave half of challenge ungroomed for extended periods of time.... All this is just a fantasy. They know their customer base want's to leave the mountain bragging about skiing double diamonds. They also know that when it's uber crowded, they need trails skiable by a great number of people to spread out the crowds. Victim of it's own success. Like I said, at least they bump something, and that decision pushes our family back to blue a lot. CB should seed that steep one next tot eh nile mile thing. JF should seed a few as well..... Oh well. Snowing still here in bucks county.

anyone been to MC this year? Just wondering...

Bumps on White Lightning, or groomed? (Sorry for all the questions - starting to think about a day trip this weekend...)
