  1. Fruit booters are to skiers like dual boards are to snowboarders See below to complete this thread
  2. so this practice was done on steeper blue terrain, and blue mt has plenty trails that is perfect for those exercises. perhaps you should try some buttering on ski's twice the fun right?
  3. jack was 52 for weekends, not suer if it was full or discount, as I used discount but I never pay that usually I pay either 26.50 or I use the website/other discounts gets me between 30-42 for day 8-4 at jf, 12-9 at bb, and that includes BB if you feel like driving the 10 miles and paying the 2.00 in tolls for pay road
  4. I am glad my complaints were fruitful
  5. Faii Fairly straight foreward to explain this: If takes an enormous amount of balance and and board control enough to control yourself and the board at these extreme angles, and still be able to pop back on the board. that translates into better riding in general. similar to difference in pizza/french fries to a person who can use edge control on 2 snowboards (ski's) . One can get down the mountain, the other one can ride down the mountain
  6. My son is only 10 yo and is already slamming it in the park, but having issues with landing off of some of the higher rails, because his switch, and buttering need work. using these techniques helps with the board control, and his awareness of board flex, and his balance. Too him it also is a neat trick that non of his friends can do
  7. Isn't that the point. Things get boring if all you do is go straight down the mountain. What ever floats your boat, whether it is having fun in park, Jumping, slalom, or just going faster than your friends. Don't be a hater, just because you enjoy wearing 2 snowboards instead of one
  8. Sorry to hear you are not a fan of snowboarding. You should try it sometime. perhaps you might like it
  9. A tripod essentially is hands on the snow in a high butter! while riding down the slope it looks pretty cool in full motion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mzl31x_gqRM
  10. My son and I went to JF on Sunday. Used my CBS local discount. and his 5th grader snow pass. No a huge amount of snow on the trails, but plenty for us to Ride. Hardly any people, and no waits for lifts We spent most of the day working on his ground tricks like 360's 180's and tripods. then finished the day with a few laps in the park. Sure it may not have the amount of terrain open as Blue right now, but I love early and late season, as there are not a lot of beginners if any around, and the slopes are wide open. As a boarder this is prime time to hone up the tricks you want to do when season is in full tilt
  11. planning to be @ jf on sunday Make sure someone posts a condition report
  12. JF Opening for Season Jack Frost is opening for the 2014-2015 this Friday December 12! Jack Frost will open at 9am-4pm with 11 slopes and 4 lifts! What a great start to the season. If you can't make it Friday be sure not to miss Saturday and Sunday. It is going to be a great start of the season with some fresh snow coming our way witht he storm knocking on our door. See you all on the slopes.

  15. rather be waiting on lift , then waiting at lift
  16. Was at BB yesterday, and i asked when JF will open. They told me that 12/12 was the target date
  17. My son and I went to BB on sunday. Was much better than being at CB on saturday. we spent most of the time between the Blue runs and the Park, no wait ever at lifts, However park started to get crowded later we stayed till bout 5p very good day there. They mentioned JF was scheduled to be open 12/12
  18. Decided to go to CB. It was a zoo, with basically only 1 run/lift open the bugle ND blck run rn into the green run. Too crowded and icy. Kids getting frustrated , left by 2:30. not worth going to. Tomorrow maybe I will go to BB
  19. How was cb today? Trying to decide whether to take kids to cb or Shawnee tomorrow. I hate lines. How many trail are open?
  20. yeah, the only downside is that they have the holidays blacked out was hoping to use them week after xmas, as I have off, but no good for those days
  21. CBS local deal is online. Just got email. 50% off. On till Dec 2
  22. The probe with that model is that if you are meeting friends that did not rejp online or you have a kid in the 4th 5th grader program and or you bought tickets fro township or club. then you will have different times some at 6 some at8 hours When I go I buy the full day pass with this new model that is no good, and I wont stop for food or beer where as before I would iy both and take breaks
  23. been waiting on the 25 dollar deal, and why i started thread. I like JF, BB not so much, but only go with a discount, not made of $$$ I am very disapointed that the DD coupons are'nt out, nor the cbs locl deal. was hoping someone with a club login to the site might share, but I am guessing that the deals on there are not great either. may have to try Cb or shawnee for their 3 for 100 deals or the camel card. not sure which is better.
