im in!! I wish that bear would allow season pass holders like an hour earlier than open to be able to ride before all the noobs get there.

anyone know of anything new being built? I would like to see andy make like three or four picnic tables...then throughout the year they can be placed in many different ways...such as a flat down, battleship, A frame, etc. I would also like to see a good set of flowing jumps...the past years has been alright but on either line you would have to speed check like crazy...the jumps didnt go with the amount of speed that you would have...like if you have ever seen in snowboarding movies or big mtns, pros dont speed check between jumps, the jumps continue to get bigger and bigger since your speed increases...either that or they stay the same size. the key is to just be CREATIVE this year

now that the pipe is filled in....take out that stupied piece of shit that we call a wall ride and have a nice line of jumps all the way down black bear into where the half pipe used to be.

they should just take out that stupied wall and continue the jump line all the way down...instead of there only being three jumps, now they could possibly be six! But i do like the idea of a hikeable park...bear really does need something like this

I agree get rid of that old piece of shit wall...I mean what is even the poi t in keeping it? It wasn't set up at all this year anyways. Plus now that the pipe is gone they could continue the three set jump line down through where the pipe used to be.

when does the show air?

bc-mark said that it depended on if they were going to be selling the lift or not. And at that time he said that they still didn't know...so as of now in sure they know but I dont believe that they have informed us on here. But as for the season it was a great one even though I couldnt ride the last month! I can't wait for next year to see what new thing bc iron words comes up with! Ps-please get ride of that shitty ass wall ride at the top of the half pipe, it wasn't even set up this year. And as for the half pipe I wish that we could have one but its just not practical and that space could be used for some more interesting things...possibly keep the grade of the half pipe and just fill in with snow or have banked walls and put different features on the tops kinda like a quarter pipe but not ha just flat...if you know what I mean

I think that this thread is stupied and needs to stop. Bear is offering a hikesble park after they close the rest of the mtn! Would you all rather them close totaly? And for those of you that can't make it don't be so selfish and be happy forthose that can at least ride. You don't see me bitching on here that I can't make it...I haven't been able to snowboards for the past month because of surgery, but I'm happy that bear is trying something new and even tough I can't do it I'm still a pass holder that they are pleasing. I mean either take this or loose it. Some of you cant make it well that's life and life sucks. Some of you make good points with not being open on the weekends...but who is gonna go to bear to hike when they could go to sno or bb and ride lifts, only the season pass holders would be there during the weekend...but who knows depending on how long bear lasts and same with the other mtn s bear might decide to open on the weekends at a later date. All I can say is just be happythat you have the opportunity to still ride weather you can or not.

look everyone obviosly bear has a reason that they aren't opening on weekends...take it or leave it...be happy that they are at least giving you the opportunity...if you can't to during the week there's always boulder on weekends...I'm sure there tons of boulder kids pissed that bb isn't opening during the week...well there just gonna gave to go to bear just like some of us will have to go there...maybe you won't be able to ride your home mtn but at least we have TWO places to ride yet prob for at least another 2 weeks...and none of you really can complain at least you all can go, I'm stuck at home cuz of surgery three weeks ago

so anyways...I have got to hand it to bear, they really listen to what there season pass holders want...I think that this hikesble park will bring profit in for them since really the only staff they are paying is gonna be the park crew and a couple ticket sellers. I mean hopefully people without passes will come because if there only keeping that area open there is a ton of snow they could push and possibly stay open for a good 2 or 3 more weeks easily. I think that it would be cool to have one jump at the bottom with two different sized hits, then places jibs everywhere else

im pretty sure that if they were closing on sat at 4 they would have already said something, if thats not true then why did they announce pond skimming already? plus bear has a decent amount of snow left and we all know the only people who come anymore are park kids...why not just limit terrain, keep the two parks open and the other trail right next to black bear that is never a park. just keep the main lift running and have limited things in the caf and the lodge. if they do this im pretty sure the money they make from park kids from other mtns will pay for the few employees it takes to run one lift and one ticket window. im sure that most of you wouldnt even mind if the caf wasnt open hah food too expensive anyways

bb is not gonna be open on weekdays after the 23...only weekends 10-6...they are not secretly staying open weeknights tt c6

hopefully bear will out beat other resorts and then get those other peoples business so they have income and the want to stay open. If they don't continue to get business then they are just gonna close no matter what pass holders say I'd how often they come

yeh that food is reduculously priced...almost 10 bucks for a chicken basket and a small soda...ten bucks at bk would get me like three full meals
