I don't do trivia anywhere else. Would, but I don't really have any friends, lol
-
I plan to check it out. I like trivia. Gives me another reason to carry my ass up there after work on a weeknight. I would have no problem bugging out if trivia weren't going well, and if they keep 10 pm close ski for an hour after.
-
Saw on Blue's Facebook they're going to be doing Tuesday night trivia in the Last Run Lounge, from 630-830. Who's in?
-
That makes sense too, same lift as Freedom I believe
-
Would be surprised if 3rd trail wasn't Little Boulder, since they could serve that and Tannenbaum off the same lift.
-
Yeah, that's right, it was that cold-ass day season before last when I hit Bear Creek solo that I did the 30 slow-lift laps.
-
Haha, they had to put stanchions and a rope up to keep people off of Vista. There were a half dozen people playing in the snow out there when I looked earlier
-
Yeah, but last year opening weekend they didn't have features on it. I know, I wanted to leave by 12 last year too but spending $25 for 200 feet of vert on one trail forced me to stick around for 30 laps or so, lol
-
Second trail is likely to be Tannenbaum without features. Very tempted, but have to leave for my 2 year old's birthday party at about 2 pm, so doesn't seem like the best idea. Maybe if they were opening at 8 or 9
-
I think those are trees they removed to sell to Elk.
-
If Tannenbaum had been open today I would have gone up. Don't think I'm going to be able to go tomorrow. Not interested in Freedom Park with or without the human slalom. Looks like its a wait for Blue's first day, or if the snow lasts at Boulder until next weekend.

Old Forge pizza

That flat little beginner park off to the right halfway down Burma.
-
They've moved the chairs and fire pits off of Vista today. They were on the grass last night. Sure seems like they want to put something down there!

Looks like Blue is doing a preseason sale on all giftcards, 20 percent off. Another balloon payment on the loan for the condos must be due. Not as good as 50% sweet deals, but better than nothing and a lot easier to get. http://mailchi.mp/skibluemt/events-deals-and-fun-at-blue-mountain-resort-228969

It's like they're pulling out all the stops to earn Ski2Live's business.

Dropped the skis off at Blue for a tune yesterday when I had to go up to convert the last of my gift certs to cards. Full tune is $50 but they're having a pre-season special for $40. Can't double dip with the season pass discount, so it's really $40 vs $45. The dude mentioned that they had a good backlog of work to do, so good for them. He put a date of 11/20 on my ticket, but said they'd call if they get them done sooner. He did ask if I needed them for an early season trip, implying they could work them in if so. I said I was hoping to use them there before Thanksgiving and we both laughed and laughed.

There is no battery. Just a heating pad and a couple of small zip pockets with cords for wall and vehicle power port. Definitely room inside for gloves and goggs, and a seperate pocket type thing on the outside for helmet
-
Tough to even move around with the checkout line snaking around for 80-100 ft. Deals to be had tho. Between pops and I scored 2 pairs of goggles, 3 pairs of socks, 1 baselayer pants, 1 outerwear pants and a heated boot bag. $785 retail for $275. Less than $140 out of pocket with 1/2 priced giftcards. Almost talked myself into a pair of demo Rossi Experience 100s in sweet shape for $300.

Not my pics, but Spring blowing out the mice today . . . Pics from their Facebook page

Yeah, I won't take my chances. I'll just buy a triple ticket to Camel, a ticket or two for montage when they have their sales. Maybe look for a deal on a day or two at Jack Boulder. I'm not against joining a club and participating, but Princeton wouldn't be it.
-
If you find out any info, post up. Was considering grabbing a few this year instead of Camel triple ticket, but if it's totally gone I'll save the club membership fee.

We always talk about our feelings! I'm usually like, "Anyone feel like more meat? The grill is still hot!" And Root's all like "I feel like I could eat some more. Any of that corned beef left?" And then Steeze is like, "I feel like it's been more than 10 minutes since I said 'Face down, ass up, that's the way we like to tuck.' so I'm gonna say it again." We have all kinds of feels.
-
It's a good strategy, you could essentially do this every other year and get 1.5 years out of each pass filling in the early half of the off seasons with the ticket packs. It's what I would do if I wasn't so close that night skiing after work 2-3 times a week is feasible.
