I wouldn't commute to Philthy from the valley for less than 100k per year. I drive 45 min to Bucks county for 60k now and it's starting to suck, lol
-
Definitely blowing all over. Lazy and upper Sidewinder are closed for heavy blowing, lots of snow on SW and bona fide whales on Lazy. Guns on the entire length of Paradise and Nightweaver. Sporadic guns on all over the rest of the mountain.

I get that it says that. I'm telling you it's a misprint. It will be good for the remainder of this season, just like the same exact deal that was posted the same exact week last year was. Don't buy it if you don't believe it, I don't care. I don't have a vested interest one way or another. I see the deals, I post the deals, PASRs save money. Or they don't. Whatevs.
-
That's wrong info then. It will be usable for the remainder of this season. Just like it was last year.

Bump for the Ski Ride and Dine deal going back on sale at Sweet Deals. Monday at 9am get a package including 2 midweek 8 hr lifts and a single $40 food credit to Slopeside for $50. A really great deal. http://www.sweetdealscumulus.com/deal/allentown/blue-mountain-ski-resort-

Went up today but was held back by two of my nieces and one nephew that I was treating to the $49 first timer lesson deal. They dawdled in the morning so pops and I didn't even get them on the snow until 930, then booted up and were out just after 10 ourselves. Only made two runs, Paradise, Lazy, and then headed back to the lesson area to meet up with them after their lesson ended. Spent a couple hours taking them up to the top of the School Hill and trying to help them along, but since they all chose to snowboard instead of ski, I wasn't much help. Tried to give them some basic, obvious pointers but they weren't really listening anyway. Didn't go very well, lol, but they all said they had a good time. By the time we got on the hill conditions were pretty shitty, and it was crowded as all hell, including a couple of shmucks with a kiddie lesson group strung out 2/3 of the way across the face of the trail smack in the middle of the hard right toward the bottom of Lazy. Morons.

I started the thread, I can jack it where I want to! Also, it was meta-topical since we were saying that driving to the mountain is more dangerous than skiing, and then talking about ways momskeez can avoid 22 when going to the True, and avoiding 22 is the safest thing you can do on 4 wheels.
-
You actually never even get on 22. The exit ramp for 378 become the exit ramp for Airport Rd on 22. On the way home you would have to merge into 22 east for about 1/4 mile before exiting onto 378. That's my route home from work almost every day as I live 2 miles from the airport. During rush hour the ramp does back up some, but those of us exiting to Airport road have taken to tossing on the right blinker to signal that we're exiting and cautiously using the shoulder to keep moving. I'm not sure but I may have started that trend about 7 years ago, lol

Headed up there on Wednesday the 8th for 97.5 the Fanatic day -
Looks like a snowboarder died last night at Camelback. Details from the mountain are sparse, but they say he wasn't wearing a helmet.

Pro tip: you can bring the bottle through, just not the water. Bring an empty and fill it at the water fountain. Add one of those powdered water enhancers for flavor.
-
Not to mention if the entire class isn't interested, he should have changed the focus. He needs to remember who pays who

Weekend roll call thread 1/21-1/22
enjoralas replied to GrilledSteezeSandwich's topic in Blue Mountain
I'm dumb, meant Lazy. Can't say how the coverage is, but during my run (and pause at the top before starting) at least a dozen skiers were in there. Saw more later when going to Switchback and Main Street too. -

All but the glades. The trees skiers right of Main Street were being poached regularly last night. -
Thursday March 19......oh, I mean January 19
enjoralas replied to momskeeztoo's topic in Blue Mountain
Was a good night. Made I think 5 runs, Lazy to lower sidewinder, then Nightmare to Dreamweaver. I ran Switchback while Pops ran Burma. Headed back up the Main Street lift and he called it, said Burma was all chopped up and burned out his legs. I ran down Widowmaker and couldn't believe the 6 inches of sweet powder when everything else on the mountain was mashed potatoes/sugar. Back up the Vista lift and I took a hot lap on Main Street and decided to call it a night, checking the speed on Lower Main had my legs ready to give in. Met dad at the Last Run Lounge where he was visiting his mug and had a quick vodka/cran before rolling out just bore 10. Good to get back at it. Skiing somewhere Saturday, either Blue for a few hours or first visit of the year to the Camel. -

enjoralas replied to momskeeztoo's topic in Blue Mountain
Yeah, not really looking forward to that but haven't been out since the 7th because I was in Orlando all last week. Itching to get out there. -
I have heard they are notorious about not allowing any sort of deal combinations, mostly from reading yelp reviews. I know last year they wouldn't give us out season pass discount when we were partially paying with a Ski, Ride and Dine credit, even though that was just a dollar amount credit and not a coupon or anything.

Is rain forecast tonight? I haven't paid attention to the forecast but was planning on heading up after work -
I get that, and I have, but I was following the line of the thread about eating at Blue this ski season. Also, it was significantly cheaper during the last ski season, to my memory, anyway. Maybe I've just gotten cheaper.

Ate at Slopeside once. Disappointing and jacked up prices. Won't be back unless it's to hit the happy hour bar bites menu weekday evenings

enjoralas replied to GrilledSteezeSandwich's topic in Blue Mountain
Alli found you guys again? Man, I think PASR has a groupie! -
Think you might be right because I remember being surprised they were willing to redeem that special ski and dine deal on Friday since it was a weekday deal.
