Why the lower lot will always be better than the top lot.
enjoralas replied to GrilledSteezeSandwich's topic in Blue Mountain
We should tailgate/grill more weekends. That would cinch the bottom lot. This season I'll probably be bottom lot on weekends and top lot on weeknights when I'm swinging in after work -
Thanks for the heads up. $65 you said? I have a Blue pass but could use the days there to bring a friend. I know I'll hit Camel a few times, and JFBB. Wouldn't mind trying Shawnee for giggles

Who's on the card this year? I am looking to join the Princeton ski club and snag a couple cards
-
I joined that one time. That was a good time. Seriously though, I don't have much to contribute because I'm only rolling into my third season on skis and I'm still a Homer-hill Hero — I haven't been anywhere so I don't have fuck all to talk about. Except gardening and Halloween. Still, I would be sad if this site disappeared. It's most (all) of my pre-season stoke EDIT: Shit, I forgot about half price gift cards to Blue. I'm all over that topic too.

Yeah, that's why I flip over to Tapatalk to post images

Yeah, there was a long line when we checked out, but the girl who was working next door in the shop came over and grabbed a few of us to take over there to check out, so we actually didn't wait too long. I ran back in to grab boots for my son and by that time the line was pretty much gone. Probably just missed you up top. It was dead. The clerk at the store was sitting on a stool when I walked in to convert my next batch of gift card vouchers.

Just got back from the Blue tent sale. Was pretty busy. Picked up a pair of Head Primal Instinct skis w/ bindings in 170 length, 10cm increase over what I've been skiing. Also picked up a pair of used rental skis and boots for my 3 year old, as well as a helmet, jacket and base layer shirt for him. Also a base layer T for the wife, and two pairs of ski socks for myself. Add in a pair of socks for my dad and a set of used demo/rentals for him and we were out of there for about $600. $300 out of pocket by using half price gift cards.

Nope. 6 piece. My wife burned water in one. I wish I were joking.

Got a long week of prep ahead before Halloween night . . .

How did you get him to hold still long enough for you to put them in his hole?
-
They are delicious tho . . .

No, usually I'm tapped out by now. Either too many frosts to bother with covering, or everything has just petered out. But I did get my plants in late this year. I'm headed to Manchester, NH for a leadership training thing for work. Not really looking forward to it. But it's one of those things that looks great on the resume, and you look real bad if you turn it down. Too bad it's too early to extend the trip a day and hit some new to me slopes.

Had to cover the remaining plants twice this week. Got some frost damage on the tops where the plastic was touching the plants. Headed out of town for most of this week so I picked everything that was ready yesterday. Got 50 bell peppers, probably 150 jalapeños, about 100 habaneros. Couple dozen each pablanos and sweet banana peppers. Tons of green Roma tomatoes still out there, and some carrots and onions that will tolerate a frost. It looks like temps should stay okay all week, so I can check it again when I get back on Friday.

Enchiladas and empanadas are both delicious. Enchilada dinner with empanadas on the the side sounds about like perfection

Carrots look real nice. I pulled one the other night as a test, it looked good. Will probably pull them all tomorrow. Tomatoes and peppers are still churning out the production. Gonna make some more sauce, salsa, hot pepper relish and jalapeno jelly this weekend.

It's an annoying rule. Wish it could be forum specific, so long term editing would be possible in like a Trip reports forum. Live thread TRs would be much better if you could keep adding to the original post

If only they could bring back Harambe . . .

No, never heard of him or seen him before. Was just going off this video. Figured it was gonna be some highlight reel stuff and it was garbage. Feel bad if he's spedcial though. Did he post this or did someone else? Were they making fun of him?
-
All I know is he can't fucking skate or play hockey. All he does is camp at the far post and clean up the trash, then act like a poor sport. Lame.

Took a nice helicopter ride a few years back in Hawaii, Big Island. Flew out over the volcano, no visible eruptions but saw some surface flows. Paid extra for the chopper with doors off, guy hovered and tilted over the lava, you could feel the heat coming in the open doors. Really cool.

Yeah, as a newb here reading old threads is hella fun, trying to guess where Doug had shit deleted, lol.

The Battle of Gettysburg fascinates me. Everything that had to go exactly the way it did, every decision that had to be made precisely the way it was, for the outcome to be what it was. "The Killer Angels" by Shaara is a good, pretty light read on the battle. I feel the same way about the sinking of the Titanic. So many actions and decisions made exactly wrong. "Her Name, Titanic" is a great read there.

Picked a few habanero tonight (couple red jalapeños tossed in too): Completed a second batch of sauce from the Roma tomatoes last night:
