The dirt around the sheds has never looked smoother.

Wrong. Zack's Taco Shack or GTFO

Looks like the Pocono's first bubble chair is on the move, it's hanging out about halfway up the mountain. Probably doing a slow speed pull through and checking for clearances/trimming trees maybe? It's been in that spot since I first looked about an hour ago

Correct, it was Knoebels. Thought it was a cool pic, with all the campfires and everything up in the campground past Twister. You didn't miss much. Flying turns was fun, we took one ride during ERT. Flyer was down all weekend, they replace the ERT in the morning on that with the Bumper Cars. Took 2 rides on Phoenix during the evening ERT. It was running really well, always does during PPP. My theory is that the heavy fog effects from the antique car ride (and lately in the Phoenix tunnel itself) help slick the track and make it run fast. But beyond that, the lines were bonkers. We headed back to camp right after the free lunch and didn't go back to the park until 9pm. They had closed the line for the haunted train ride so we rode the sky ride then hit up ERT. Sunday was a pleasant day in the park though

There were some sporadic people on the cam at Camel too. I guess they work in the rain up there. To be fair, they also have something to work on.

Based on this part of the pic Airhead posted, the t-bar line looks right out, looks like they cut into it completely halfway down. The new lift line looks pretty poachy between Come Around and the bottom of Chute, depending on what's on the ground there, of course

Agreed. Hope they get Curzt's Cabin open if it's Vista only. Probably just close it for the race team tho.

Yeah, no idea what they mean by horseshoe area. Maybe Frontier Alley, as it forms kind of a horseshoe with Homestretch, and makes sense that the light upgrades would be contiguous? Either way, it's nice to see new lighting on Paradise. Hopefully they move the LED upgrades across the mountain each year. Those lights on Freefall are awesom.

I don't disagree with the observation that everything at Blue takes forever, but I'm still leaning supply chain/manufacturer timing more than Blue because there are few lift parts to speak of on site. I think if it were just Blue running behind then there would be an entire lift sitting in the lower lot and there's barely anything there yet. Also, KSL doesn't seem to be behind at all on their other lift, and they're in charge now. But everything at Blue DOES take forever. Except ski tunes.

I guess they are building their own control room? LP probably quoted them xxxx.xx for the prefab, prewired one and yyy.yy to truck it across the country and KSL was like, hell no! This is the Lehigh Valley, we'll have a couple Amish guys raise it and then we can wire it inhouse.

Shuttle widened as well, with new automated snow guns. Here's the list of snowmaking updates: "Did you know Blue Mountain Resort is home to one of the most powerful snowmaking systems on the East Coast? We’ve made more improvements to our already top-of-the-line system this year! 9 new TT10 fan guns and 3 new TL8 Lances have been added Shuttle trail is now automated with the addition of 5 B6s Shuttle trail has been widened for improved capacity The lower portion of Burma Road has been regraded for ease of transition to the new lift 75 new LED lights have been added to Paradise trail, Homestretch trail, and the horseshoe area We’ve made upgrades to our air and water main systems 90 YB hydrants have been upgraded" Also some other excerpts from their About Us: About the new logo - "The arch represents the minimalist mountain view, unmatched views of sunrises and sunsets, and a nod to the Victorian architecture found in our neighboring town, Jim Thorpe." Snowtubing update - "Music and light features are being added to the park for a unique nighttime experience"

Also, Terrain Run renamed to Trail's End. Easy Out not listed on the map, but there is a separate green circle for it so probably an oversight.

You're burying the lede. Widowmaker name change? WTF is Curzt's Cabin?!?

Doing some work in the hole today, including installing some steel too heavy to handle by hand which has to be a positive, lol

I'm actually good with it, although it means my kids soccer game with be competing with my phone for my attention. 330 would have been perfect

Honestly, I assumed it was the haul rope, and started doing a bunch of calculations to see if the weight to length ratio makes sense after @AirheadD8's comment. I was figuring the volume of treating 1 foot of rope as a sphere (from Comcast Jeopardy I happen to know that 1/4 inch zinc coated steel wire weighs .121 lb per foot and 3/8 inch weighs .270 lb per foot, lol) and I went to the pic and zoomed to see if it had the diameter on it to compare. When I saw what it said the 25PR immediately jumped out at me, since that's the standard telephony grouping for twisted pair. The AWG was obvious, and I figured the 1/4 must be a messenger since 25 pair would be larger than 1/4 inch. Then I googled, lol. But yeah, telecom cable can be several inches in diameter for trunk cables, 500+ pair. Makes a good support for laying your ladder against at the mid-span 😂

It's mislabeled then. PE38 19AWG 25 PR 1/4" should be aerial 25 pair twisted pair cable with 19 Guage conductors and a 1/4 inch integrated steel messenger support cable. Certainly can be used for low voltage, but definitely telecom cable, unless the label is wrong. Interesting that they are BOTH labeled that.

If Penn State - Michigan is a night game we’re gonna need an outdoor tv, lol
