Well, 2 $79 flights. Down and back. But yeah, that’s the deal. I’m not gonna do it though. The gotcha for me is that you have to wait until you have your companion pass on Jan 4 to book the companion fares. My luck, I would buy my fare to Denver now and then the plane would fill up, so wouldn’t be able to book Pops or should have to switch flights, and by then the prices may have gone up so much it wipes out the savings. 2 or more flights I thought I would make, no brainer. To try to save $240 on one trip, not worth the risk

No, fly by then. Considering buying the ATL flight anyway. It’s Southwest so if I decide it’s not worth the effort I can cancel and get credit to fly to DEN in the winter anyway
-
Definitely have to hurry. Need to register and book the qualifying ticket tonight. I considered a turn and burn to ATL for $79 each way. Not sure it would be worth it though, Pops and I will likely only make the one trip in the companion pass period. It would save money for sure, but not really enough to make it worth the hassle. If there was a decent chance of using it twice, I’d do it for sure

This could be interesting for a pair that would entertain multiple trips in the first couple months of 2023. Free 2 month companion pass on Southwest for flying one round trip this year. Have to register by today though. https://thepointsguy.com/news/3-month-companion-pass-promotion/amp/

Looks like we're down to just the Vista cam. Hopefully they get Valley and Main Street back online.
-
I know it did, but none of us really expected it to. I was just messing with ya. But yer not fooling anyone. You’ll be there for opening day even if it’s just the Vista lift

Pops and I are planning to head west for a short trip but haven't made any plans yet. Was tentatively looking at Winter Park but haven't really dug into anything yet. What kind of trip are you looking at? Looks like Epic Pass prices go up in about 8 hours.

Yeah, and also makes sense that they would have started at Camel, since they would have needed to get to a certain point on that lower house before opening the waterpark, I would think.
-
I wonder if they're not using the same contractors for both mountains. Maybe they just finished concrete at Camel so they moved that crew down to Blue
-
They zoomed out a bit on the Main St cam too, so that one will eventually be worth watching as well.

Third base coach is way outside of the coaches box. If that's the opponent, I would ask the ump to enforce that if I was the Pig's manager. Gotta win the mind game too, lol

Waffle House

Some digging on the left side of the Main St cam. Can't see much but a pile of dirt and the occasional hoe bucket, but maybe some footers coming soon.

Same thing not new, but here's the video 292657086_1335656393591880_6920872273244192099_n.mp4

Did they make you stand in front of the mound too? I know a lot of first pitches at MLB parks they won't let the step on the mound EDIT: Eh, that seems like one of those things I heard a few times but isn't true. Checked out a couple compilation vids and plenty of throws from the mound and even the rubber

Gotcha. I remember being in a ground level “wing” and walked out onto the tarmac to ramp board on the way home, after taking a shuttle over that also dropped off out on the tarmac. It was interesting.

Is that part of the local/small plane terminal, F or whatever? We had a connection through there a few years ago on an Orlando trip that included an ABE-PHL leg.

That whistle seemed a bit late

Vey nice. Really shows the line top to bottom for the first time. Interesting that they are running it right up half of the learning hill with the crowds that sees. I think the towers are sitting on the “water park” parking lots maybe. At least it looked like it in that one video
-
Nice that the box is right on your lot. Might have been left waiting if it was a few doors down and they had to cross sidewalks/driveways. Like I said, can't speak for VZ, but it would be crazy to charge for that. And there's always the option to get salty and call and bitch for a gift card/account credit
-
Yeah, I'm sure that's part of the reason that we don't charge for drop repairs or replacements. Everyone knows there's a lot of really shallow drop cable out there. Plant hardline would be another story. It's *almost" always much deeper, and even still most of the times I saw they never charged a homeowner for an honest mistake. If another company doesn't call for locates and/or recklessly disregards good practices, sometimes they will try to go after them for damages. Especially if they're jerks, lol

I'm surprised by the $99 fee. I know at Comcast, we generally own responsibility for the drop up to the bond block at the side of or just inside the house. Will replace or repair without charge no matter how it gets damaged. Usually our call agents will warn about a service call fee "if the problem is determined to be inside wiring or customer responsibility" but that's basic CYA and means if the tech gets out there and finds out that it's not really a cut UG but something else or the customer didn't check the batteries in the remote or something then they get charged. There's a ton of coax out there direct buried without conduit, and a lot of it not much deeper than a couple inches. I certainly laid a few thousand feet of it myself in Harford County, MD about a decade ago. 🤣 But that's a whole lot easier to fix than fiber.
