Probably both days, soreness is dissipating nicely. No cooking this weekend. Gotta get home and settle in on Sunday. Who Dey! -
There's even pretty good base in the trees off the base of White Lightning headwall.
-
I ordered a pair of ABOMs and a replacement lens, was going to buy a hard case too since they are half off but forgot to add it to the cart. If anyone else places and order and is willing to throw in a case I'll happily pay you for it. But not worth paying $12 shipping for a $15 case, lol

Send me that, with the end, lol. Or post it up, no matter to me. 😂

I think so, can’t recall any others. I really wish I knew what that groove was. It was on the flat runout after the trail. Saw it too late or could have glided over it, but was in a hard hockey slide to get rid of the speed and they went in long ways, threw me right in the air. Legs hit something on the way in, the group said a barrel around a snow gun. Starting to get sore now, shins and right shoulder. This too shall pass. According to Ski Tracks going into the woods was the fastest I was moving all day, lol

Found some sort of groove/notch at the bottom of White Lightning and dropped the skis into it while skidding off speed on the second run. Went HARD into the trees, but after a couple of worrisome moments it turned out that all was well, and none of the lift drinks had sprung a leak. Crisis averted.

I’m sure they can move some bunny slope lifts from out west somewhere to service the entire vertical at Boulder.

Freedom and Love also off the map. Vail is clearly making statement.

The half sunk traffic cones sticking up out of the puddles are hilarious

There’s always the Texas wiener/cheeseburger scene in Scranton as a backup if the go to pizza places are closed. Family favorites are the Glider diner and Coney Island Lunch on Lackawanna Ave. But NOT Coney Island of Scranton on Cedar, they can fuck right off.
-
I’m planning on just eating on the mountain. Probably have to leave by about 2 so not much after
-
That’s some Sophie’s Choice shit right there.

If you sleep in the Sonic, make sure to huddle together for warmth.

My money for smallest state capital is the “I” in Indiana. It beats out all the other “I” states because the length of the word makes it look shorter. Kind of how you can trim the shrubs to make the tree stand taller.

I’ve heard it’s a hell of a party scene out there. Should have made it out in my younger days. I do love that the actual site of the groundhog den is called Gobbler’s Knob.
-
That’s a turbull looking lunch. They forgot the last inch of each end of your sang and is that chili or soup?

Southwest and American are my picks. I had AA’s credit card so that comes with a few perks like 1 free bag and a decent boarding slot. I’ve flown them enough to be familiar with their policies and procedures so it’s usually a pretty smooth time.
-
Yeah, I’ve flown them twice with skis and never had a problem, but I have read stories online that others have. I usually pack a pair of my ski pants and some shirts and stuff around the skis to help protect them in the soft bag, especially since there’s mine and Pops in there. The one time the did ask me “Nothing but skis and poles in there?” And I said just some T-shirt’s around the skis to keep them from banging each other and got a “Oh, that’s okay.” I suspect the person we saw being hassled was either being an a-hole to the gate agent or more likely the bag was overweight so that opened the can of worms.

Thanks for dropping by and helping finish up the provisions! Like I said, always a standing invite to come over and hang out and eat. The more people, the less my fat ass eats.
-
Ouch. Yeah, no bueno then. I saw them actually make someone open a ski bag at the Southwest at PHL the one trip to see if there was anything besides skis in it, and it sounded like they were making them pay a steep up charge
